I'm thinking about getting a pellet grill / smoker. Specifically, this one:

What's it like for a quick cook of something?
All the reviews are saying great things about cooking brisket / ribs / chicken etc etc but what's it like for doing a couple of sausages and some steak on a Friday night etc?

I have yet to use it for grilling purposes, but it can be set to 250C which is quite reasonable temperature wise.
Though for me I'd use a charcoal grill for that kind of cooking.

I agree but I'm looking for just a single garden cooking "thing" and I think I'd get more use out of a smoker than a grill

Actually, i have used mine to chargrill asparagus and it did a great job.
As an all round machine they are fantastic. Come to the wedding party and you can see the results.

I'd love to but I'm in Antigua!
Let me know if you do end up giving grilling a try. Be interested to hear how it goes...

So what the hell is going on with the GMG website? None of the pictures work.
(this is very relevant to my interests at the moment)

Its modified by having a temperature and humidity sensor in there and a humidifier and a small fan. Airflow is the next thing but for now i just open the door frequently. I kind of want to cut a hole in there and put a computer fan in but nor sure really

Hey you guys, long time no see - I think its been literally about 2 years since I said something like 'I have a food project coming up soon will let you guys know about it soon!'
Anyway, the food project has been going for a while and is now an actual restaurant on Kingsland Road - I run the kitchen at a spot called Pamela and sell Southern Louisiana and more general southern good-good. I am also quite alot fatter than i was and really terrible at riding bikes now.
We're called Decatur - take a look - https://www.instagram.com/decaturlondon/
Anyway, wanted to invite you guys to come in whenever you feel like it - drop me a PM and i'll get a table reserved and a few oysters on the house for you.

we do! at the moment just in an Etouffee and ocassionally in a boudin, but when we can start getting them again from the UK (june - probably) we'll be doing boils most Saturdays. Done a couple of Shrimp Boils but not as stoked about having to use a load of imported shrimp for it!
