ACTUALLY!
My..er... dining partner ordered marrow last time. One of the best things I've tasted in ages.
Pretty sure I went the tartare the other time.

Itsu is very expensive.
Those wee eggs are bloody nice though. They'd want to be for 8 quid.
eh? the sushi/salad thing i had was a £5.94... i suppose that's a bit of a splurge for a monday lunch but not that far off the norm is it? its very nice and massively filling too. the (also seriously big) tubs of udon noodle soup with dim sum in the top (bottom pic) are £4.99. not bad for a properly nice, filling and reasonably healthy lunch. and not much more than a sandwich and packet of crisps from pret or whatever.
you're right though balkisan, i need to make my own lunch more often though. it does add up if you spend £5+ on lunch every day. i used to do the home made thing everyday without fail but i've slacked right off lately.
in my defence, today i was trying to rectify a mild sulk caused by a long sweaty lunchtime walk into town to buy a "bargain" cast iron grill pan that turned out to be out of stock. so i needed geeing up a bit.

I'd love to try bone marrow, my dog loves.

Summer fruits pudding with clotted cream last night.

What's that mean?
i think it means you're a caveman, man. that is some grade-a carnivorousness. i'm an enthusiatic meat eater and no stranger to the cheaper cuts and offal... but i think even i'd struggle with that... although thinking about it now, i seem to remember chewing on bones and sucking out the marrow when i was a kid... but i'm talking about chicken bones. they look like diplodocus thighs. something about the size and presentation of that though... it just looks a bit... neanderthal.
soperivera, huevos rancheros = excuse to have crisps for breakfast?
-
• #2170
well... they dont need to be prepared lengthways.
This look a bit more palatable?
-
• #2171
^yeah, that. (@dooks)
I've had that before, just felt weird the all way through, the consistency of that middle bit some sort of jelly stuff...not my thing. -
• #2173
i'm in!
thanks dude.
