  • In... Owe you a pint too.

  • Apparently they are very good. I keep forgetting to order them as the regular menu is quality. DJ and Murtle love 'em.

  • they're made with black pud apparently.

  • I love a scotch egg, I do.

  • I love a black pudding, I do.

  • I love a black pudding, I do.

    oh so do i...
    i miss meat today... badly.
i want a full irish breakfast.

  • Ooh, full Irish!

    Black pudding AND white pudding!

  • Not at all! I'm an equal opportunities pudding employer.

Not when it comes to sauce.
    Brown sauce is best.

White sauce is a bit bland, to be honest.

Red sauce has been re-branded as native American Indian sauce.

    Political correctness gone mad. Tsk.

  • I cooked myself a vegetarian treat tonight:
Basil Tofu on top of Shiitake Mushroom Lentils, with a side of Halloumi, mixed Mushroom and Zucchini.
    Super easy to make,
Flavoured the Lentils with dried Shiitakes, Cumin and Chili Powder- simmered for 1/2 hr.
Grilled the Halloumi, Mushrooms and Zucchini in a mild fresh chili and black pepper mix.
Fried some Basil Tofu, and layered as follows:

It was excellent, the flavours meshed real nice.
I would have added some greek yoghurt to the lentils if i had some.

  • That menu fills me with rage.

  • Jesus, that looks rank

  • you should try it.
    fucking lush(t).

  • Lish!

My local F&V fella has a MASSIVE range of this stuff, everything you need :-)

  • Not food but I have been absolutely caining these in the hot weather.

  • the Lemonata one is better ; )

  • maybe this will meet with more approval.
Something i made a few years ago instead of a birthday cake for a friend.
I take orders, and will pimp the fuck out of most things.

I think we worked out it had 10,000-20,000 calories or something stupid.
My friend finished it in 3 days.

  • Looks like a turd : )

  • Ooh, full Irish!

    Black pudding AND white pudding!

Had one in Dublin yesterday. Washed down with a pint of Guinness. Bliss!

The G is totally different. Bloody lovely.

  • Anyone make scotch eggs before? If so recipes please. Seems I agreed to have a go whilst slightly drunk last night.

my mum makes amazing ones - taste nothing like the grim processed ones you buy in shops. i think the recipe is something like....

boil eggs, let cool and peel.

add some raw egg to good quality seasoned pork mince. take hanfull of mince, flatten out a bit then envelop egg in said pork mince. roll in raw egg and then bread crumbs. then fry in fat (best is tray fat from cooking ham) and quince jelly (makes them sticky and a little bit sweet on the outside). AMAZING.

  • Had this for pre-breakfast/brunch nearly everyday for the past two weeks!

    Garden Fruit is amazing too.
