Coffee. Pasteis de nata. Sugar Coma.
Aweseome..
About 3 years ago, I went there (I always do when I'm back), I was astonished.... going from London to Lisbon was a shock... price wise.
Can't remember exactly now, but it was like 2 teas, 1 latte + 4 Pasteis de Nata = €8.50.
Rondiculous.

Mind you, you can get a coffee and a pastei de nata for just over two quid at O Cantinho or Funchal Bakery... Best value in London... I'm a big fan of the custard filled doughnuts, obvs...

They're sold in every beach, at least in the south/centre coast.
It's the fave beach treat.
So good. -

Malasadas in Hawaii were a thing I loved. They are somehow different than just donuts or pfannkuchen or whatever. They are Portuguese so I thought I would get tons being here in europe. I have discovered though that portuguese only eat them on some special god day not every day like in Hawaii. Plain or with azuki bean or haupia inside, yes please.

Back to seafood, another must: Goose Barnacles Percebes
It's the most expensive seafood choice, in Portugal.
Tastes like the sea, like a mouthful of waves.
You must. -

It's topped with coconut custard. The dough is just like a brioche, but a bit richer..
It's usually served with butter, ham and cheese.

The blueberry and choc chip coconut rice squares, and the raspberry and mint coconut rice squares taste great.
I'm hoping they set a bit firmer though...
The frittata rice squares (they call them denver rice squares) are setting at the moment - will try them later.I'm sure it's cheaper but none of that looks anywhere near as practical as a bar or a gel. Also, chocolate? Y U NO apply sports science.

Last Page: Looks like I need to visit Portugal. It's a suburb in Costa del Spain right?
That's where Bourdain was at, it's exactly where I'm going... ;)
Galicia will give the Portugals a run for their money in the seafood scoffing stakes...
