  • I was assured by a morbidly obese nooyoorka that they are delicious

  • I'm sure

  • Just had a Spit & Roast fried chicken bap with kimchi slaw and korean hot sauce alongside some POutine. I can barely walk.

  • Poutine? Where? Any good?

Would love to try the real thing...

  • Houston was such a shithole when I went, though Montrose / University did have a couple of nice bars and the Rothko museum was cool.

I went to Blacks in Lockhart last year and Salt Lick - the Lick was unreal, so good, all you can eat. Fuck! But Looking forward to trying to go to Franklin's in Austin in May. Any eating recommendations outside of the obvious around Austin?

    Juan in a Million!

  • Kerb kings cross. Never had real poutine but this had cheese curds and the most AMAzing chicken gravy!

  • Just had a Spit & Roast fried chicken bap with kimchi slaw and korean hot sauce alongside some POutine. I can barely walk.

  • As Rita's leaves Birthdays...

  • What is it about chicken? I ignore it for months as being 'normal', then try a piece and fall in love again.

  • Made an awesome spaghetti alla puttanesca the other day vaguely following this recipe http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2010/jun/20/nigel-slater-classic-recipe-spaghetti-alla-puttanesca

Just had the leftovers for lunch... salty, spicy, garlicy, fishy goodness. And it ensures that no-one comes near you all afternoon coz your breath is so pungent. All round winner.

  • I made onion bhajiya last night, using gram flour and ground rice as the batter base. They came out really well, nice and crispy, sweet and spicy. Scoffed the lot whilst watching university challenge.

  • Just did 28 courses of the most ridiculous seafood at Brooklyn Fare.

Highlight was definitely the Uni, with a warm parmesan veloute, caviar and toasted quinoa seeds. It was, as you can imagine, totally bonkers.
