  • Picked up a Nikon 35Ti ages ago and finally got around to developing some pics.
    do these look under-exposed?

Looks good, I got my 35ti too and find it exposes perfectly, don't have any proper shots from it on my laptop I don't think, a few nice prints though.

Not sure I love it more than the gr1 though, it's close.

    Edit: Found one

Untitled by 40 skid patches, on Flickr

Not a particularly nice or interesting shot but exposed nicely.

Quite dark room and neopan 400 film.

Most annoying this about the nikon for me is that it'll use shutterspeeds lower than I can manage to hold still, whereas the ricoh only goes down to 1/30, I'd rather have a slightly underexposed image than a blurred one that I can't use at all.

  • I think it's a nice shot!

Always liked neopan. Too bad they're apparently not producing the 1600 ISO one any more.. : [

  • ^^ yep found I had the same thing with shutter speed, but Im getting the feel better, also find the battery dies quickly affecting some pictures.

turns out my monitors on the blink

  • I found that too so I just replaced it after 10 rolls because I'd rather not have it go 1/2 through a roll of something nice.

Did those pics from the tunnel sprints come out in the end?

  • The GR1 goes below 1/30 and I have plenty of blurry drunk shots demonstrating this.

Great pictures Al. I really like the first one especially.

  • Really?

Mine hasn't gotten anything blurry yet!

Edit: yeah apparently it goes down to 2 seconds, wonder why I haven't gotten there yet.

  • ..because it was bright?

  • (sorry, not trying to be a smartass)

  • Really. Maybe it doesn't allow it in program mode though, the manual seems to contradict itself at one point, and program does limit the aperture to above f4 and I think the shutter speed at the upper end.

    Also, related (spam, I'm selling).

  • ..because it was bright?

I'm always using it in the dark so I doubt it's that.

I read the manual a few times and gained nothing, I think it confused me more lol

  • do want

  • CT Precisa (XPRO, obviously)

  • Obligatory "XPRO WHYOHWHYOHWHY?!"
Nice though (I'll leave my opinions about the processing at the door).

Just got a load back from the lab, will post some in a bit.

Took me far too long to realise what that was! really dig thing one, processing especially. Browns and greens compliment each other well.

  • some more test shots with the Nikon 35Ti

    big fan.

  • rb67, velvia 100

  • Apply sex noises

    Good price (for now).

I really must use mine more.

  • T4, Agfa slide film

    RB67, xp2 super

Plenty more at http://imdabestmayne.tumblr.com as usual.

  • This afternoon I 'scanned' (actually photographed using an extension tube) some slides my grandfather took in the 60s. I like this one of my grandma:

  • Great result!
    Fuji Velvia 100, RB67:

    Yashica t4, Agfa Precisa 100

  • RB67, xp2 super

Plenty more at http://imdabestmayne.tumblr.com as usual.

Brilliant shot. Also love how the RB exposes. You do any landscape/nature with it? That rock face is hypnotizing.

  • All the best landscapes are a little too far away for me to want to carry the RB with me on top of all my climbing kit.

There's the odd few on the blog.

  • Nice looking boulder! where is that?
