  • Those 5x4s are beautiful, MacReady. So much detail!

  • As everyone else said, stunning!

  • Been a looong while since last post, good stuff as usual everyone.

Really nice 4x5's Macready, whats your setup?

    Some random bits.

Unintentional triptych - only realised after developing the roll, hah.

Lith Print on "Kentmere Art Classic" paper, really nice paper too bad it's discontinued.

Also had a go at the new-ish 500px stories thing, collections of shots taken on the back of my uncle's moped:
    "Two Wheels in Hanoi"

  • Those two wheels in Hanoi shots are rude!

What were they shot on (other than a moped, har har har).

  • ^ All shot on an XA (bar one panny lx5 digital shot), only camera i could've shot one handed with! You can just about see a blurry XA in the wing mirror in the last photo.

I have a bunch more colour shots but they're not too sharp because i used Ektar 100, which definitely wasn't fast enough!

  • *my gfs, manchester, scotland, the garage.

    cheapo kodak 200.*

  • Some brilliant shots there! What camera?

  • Some brilliant shots there!

This... especially the two bridges and the fireworks.

Where is the one from the top of the bridge and how did you get up there?

  • How did you get up on the bridge?

  • wide photos are from a 19-35 cosina on a cm4 chinon, other stuff is from an oly mju ii.

Climb up into one of the legs OR run the line 300m or so to the concrete sections.

  • neat.

  • can someone post a good B&W film developing tutorial? I know UTFS etc. but if there is anything that you have come across that is really good (video or text) can you post here? Thanks

  • ^ I am loving this guy's steez.

  • I need some flash triggers for my rb67.

I don't really know what I need other than 2 receivers (and another flash for that matter).

Anyone got any advice or some for sale?

I worked on this documentary...Its been nominated for two BAFTAs today!!!

Just been to see it at Curzon. Incredibly strong film. I feel emotionally and visually mangled, in a humbling sense.

Whatever you did on the film (?), well done, I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Rare to listen to such a strong, sound personality with integrity and insight about themselves and their role in the world.

  • Just had a look through the first roll I've taken with the Olympus Trip. Very happy with the results and I'm sure there will be many better shots taken with it as I get more experienced at using it.

Quick question on flash units. Would it be worth me investing in a flash with tilt function (I've found one for £10 online) so I can bounce the flash or just stick with the fixed one I've already got? (Pentax AF160). It would primarily be used for taking quite close-up shots at parties like the second one above.

  • That Jenny Lind place looks like it lost it former glory, to say the least

  • That's what I was trying to capture. Thanks! I think they put the red gates on upside down as well...

  • haha, yeah looks like it.

Jenny Lind is a bit of a Swedish national hero, she deserves better!

Like the top photo too btw, great colours and mood

  • Quick question on flash units. Would it be worth me investing in a flash with tilt function

Quick answer to your question: yes!
