OM4 is lush. I used to have a pretty nice Olympus set up years ago. In fact the lens I used to use for portraits is a modern classic - it was the Elicar 90mm F2.5 Macro (OM mount). If you ever see an OM3 going for cheap....grab it!
Will keep an eye out for that lens. My two favourites are the Zuiko 28mm f2.8, and the 50mm f1.4 which I use for non-flash gig photography with Provia 400 pushed to 1600.
My other camera is a FED 2 which I always use with a Jupiter 12, 35mm. It can look awesome.
Here's a shot from the FED from a night out (Provia @1600) :

Woah! Very impressive. Do you use a filter on it?
Thank you, no camera filters, just iphoto punching.

Or just say 'fuck it', and make yourself a matchbox-camera, which is what I'm going to do today.
After reading about pinhole photography (thanks Tina Kino) I bought myself a Holga 135pc. Only like 30 pounds from Hongkong including shutter cable:) Really looking forward to experimenting with double exposure.
Awesome... would love to hear how you both get on, and see some pics. Life's a bit hectic at the moment but I'll be making a matchbox camera the first opportunity I get! :-)

One from back in the day, digital photo of contact print of exposed paper..
And this is cheaper;
Pinhole Camera Solargraphy Kit: Amazon.co.uk: ElectronicsI made a pinhole camera of rather thick grey board once,
and even that model could not stand much of wind.
A pinhole camere made of paper ? C'mon.
Yes it's cheaper, but it's stupid. Also the B&W picture look like a medium format shot.
Don't think so. Look at vast DOF and typical "zoomy" distortion & vignetting towards the corners.
No offense mate, but did you actually ever do pinhole photography yourself?
Amey - very nice, have fun!

I know. An awesome surprise! but not surprising since he's such an engaging and remains humanistic despite it all. the photos speak for themselves really.

Annoyingly so, yes.
Can't see the fun in it TBH.

all this pinhole talk is making me miss mine, it just needs a little TLC and fixing up.
Can't see the fun in it TBH.
rarely the most practical choice, but definitely fun. it's nice to be able to take long exposures in bright sunshine, or have the texture of the ground in "focus" and strange surprises from not knowing really what you're framing. also making stuff is fun :)
was trying to take a night-time long exposure from a hotel windowsill, streaky car lights, glow in the sky etc. but fell asleep - woke up it was already light, kinda ruined the picture I wanted and the framing is crap, but like it a bit. still want to take the other picture some time...

First effort on film and the new camera. Took it to norths last night and experimented with it.
Expired Fuji 200 ISO colour film pushed 2 stops at 800 and developed at Snappy Snaps, nothing great but I am liking the new camera.
Cant wait to get hold of some B&W film and start processing myself : )

Colour film but B&W?
-
• #5215
^ converted, the white balance is fucked e.g. too yellow/red
plus I dont ever intend to shoot colour in this, it was just that I had some expired film at home.

Shit yeah, that looks great.
More shots on the RB67 today. It's a lot harder to shoot a roll than I expected - it's definitely no point and shoot!
Fair enough Amey, not for me (shooting colour and converting) but whatever floats your boat!

+1 Those birch photos are stunning!
I like some of the faces you've managed to catch Amey!
If you don't get stung by custom as well.
