That's the flickr group I mentioned (or were you asking about my personal one?)My inventory is:
Olmpus OM1, with 28mm, 50mm, 135mm.
Mju II
XA, XA2,
Yashica Electro 35 GTN,
Mamiya RB67.Pretty much everything gets shot on the Mju, with some Yashica and now I'm trying to use the Mamiya as much as I can.

On an unrelated note, took my RB67 out with tripod today, got a couple of BMX shots. Shooting from a tripod with cable release is stupidly satisfying for some reason.
Took mine out today, forgot my cable release.
Trying to fiddle with the mlu button at f11 1/4, so stupid. Gave up before I wasted a load of film.
Gaaaaah

I don't really use it anymore - just use it for convenient hosting. I couldn't be bothered paying for premium and now that it only has my last 200 images I've just given up with it.
I put pretty much everything on my tumblr instead now - http://imdabestmayne.tumblr.com if you want details about each photo just click on them and the camera and film details are usually in the tags.

Says a guy shooting great pics on mju II ; )
Although I agree but I was obsessing about getting an RF hence went for this, wasnt impressed by bessa and couldnt afford Leica. More interested in the optics than body in this one. Lets hope manual focus doesent suck.
I know what you mean though.
The Contax lenses I had on my G1 were as good as any I have ever had. Really sharp and contrasty. Focusing is a bit of a pain but generally a really lovely camera.

Thanks for the advice everyone, think I'll go with the Konica Big Mini, looks like just what I'm after!

Good compact 35mm cameras are peanuts when you think about the quality you can get. Get a few compacts, no reason not to. I have a few, trying to keep one loaded with bw and one with colour at all times so I can just grab whatever I want for the day

It's hard to see the difference between a 35mm SLR and 35mm compact, the only thing noticeable is the vignetting which is more apparent than the SLR.
Digital compact only just starting to match digital SLR in term of quality, like the Sigma DPs series camera and the Fuji X100 (well, smaller than SLR).

I read something somewhere which put a brilliant image in my head of 36 brand new, single use, full frame sensors on every roll of film. It kind of works, if over simplified.

I've been comparing the Big Mini and the EU mini as the latter seems much easier to get hold of, but the EU seems to be much more prone to vignetting, as edscoble mentioned. Here's a comparison, although it's not a very scientific test. Just looked through photos on flickr and chose two typical shots of similar distance:
Big Mini
EU mini
Is this just because of big difference in quality of the lens?

It's more to do with the lens being very closed to the negative in compact/rangefinder camera, and in some cases wide angle lenses in SLR.
edit - forget to mention it's likely to occured in the widest aperture.

EU mini looks like a totally different beast according to camerapedia, max 6.7 lens. Looks weak in that tiny/unknown detailed sample too

Just grabbed an Olympus OM4 for £70 after my OM2 Spot/Programme died.
Seems pretty cool so far. Like the simple spot meter button along with the crush to white/black options.

Stu, check eBay. Super cheap BM going at the minute. I used mine at the Euros this year and was pretty happy with the results. I usually use my XA if light conditions are variable/I'm using slide film but otherwise the BM is perfect for not having to think about anything (other than framing).

If size is really important I'd get a Fujifilm Tiara
Or an XA2 if you don't mind having to to a tiny bit of zone focussing. They're both very small. But if you want thin, which is more pocketable then small and fat IMO, look for a Konica Big Mini (cheap) or Ricoh GR1 (more expensive, but better).
You tried finding one any time recently?

Just bit the bullet and got this for £40. Serviced with 2 years warranty. Excited to get out and use it!
I'll keep an eye out for a Konica, but I think they may be out of my price range cos they seem very sought-after

^ Had good luck with one of those, working within it's limits can produce very good results.

OM4 is lush. I used to have a pretty nice Olympus set up years ago. In fact the lens I used to use for portraits is a modern classic - it was the Elicar 90mm F2.5 Macro (OM mount). If you ever see an OM3 going for cheap....grab it!

@ Tina Kino, that's really cool. Never heard about that before, can you post some pictures of yours? Think I might give it a try myself.
..did not get round to make it yet, but will look basically like the ones you see google image searching.
I have yet to think of something like a (maybe tilt-able) base for it though. -

Woah! Very impressive. Do you use a filter on it?

After reading about pinhole photography (thanks Tina Kino) I bought myself a Holga 135pc. Only like 30 pounds from Hongkong including shutter cable:) Really looking forward to experimenting with double exposure.

I'd say 30 pounds is not quite a bargain, but well -
now you have a 'proper' matchbox camera, with finder, tripod mount and even a flash hot shoe.
Have fun!
