just got a new scanner, so far only one of the film scan rows works properly, but I guess I can somehow figure it out, so here are some of the first shots scanned (in low res)

What's happened to the detail in the sea in that first shot? It's nearly solid black.

not sure, might be partly because of the shite quality, only did 200dpi so that it would upload, will scan again in much higher resolution and see if it stays the same

Rolled the dice on an exposure probably 2 and a half stops under. I don't get the non uniform shape of the bokeh though, can anyone shed light on that? Canon 50mm 1.4

Regarding the bokeh, it's to do with the angle the light is hitting the lens. The centre will have rounder orbs and the outer ones will be more elliptical. Imagine looking down a bog-roll tube from the side, and then straight on...
