Its actually the first time ive had rust of my bike in years due to there being a lot of snow last week. Like i say, its never too bad to ride so dont let me put you off or anything!

not deterred from riding, just a little too protective of my bikes, and knowing i won't have time to be extra picky about cleaning them.. i'd rather build something i can lock outside without feeling Too guilty

Does anyone fancy a ride on sunday afternoon if the weather is ok? I have the day off!
Or even polo if enough people can go.

Hey. (sweet, I can search a forum)
heh, bike polo looks really.. interesting (and something I really want to try! :D ). I don't think I can make Sunday, but Saturday I'll probably be fixing my bike @ recyke y' bike. -

Green racing bike, with drops reversed and cut off, and single front brake. right now it's in a pretty bad state.

I plan on converting it to fixed hopefully within 2 weeks. (which I'm really excited about :D )
-

I'm guessing he's the one riding fixed, tall with facial hair. I've spoken a few times, and he's made me get into researching fixed and thus wanting to switch. :)

Wow, an explosion of life on the Newcastle pages. Look forward to meeting you all soon. Almost in need of a names and faces to bikes thread.
Ah hell, why not, here's me in a rare moment without stupid tweed cap.

Wow your bike looks sweet now Tom!
jimjim - I'm running 42x15 and there are no hills in the city I cant ride up. Apart from down to the quayside its mostly flat I'd say.
I may be free for a little ride on wed eve.
ugh. salt. (definitely not bringing my bikes, then) i had a bad salty winter in chicago last year, and it ate one of my tange/mangalloy frames to death. i had a short commute to work, but it was below minus 17 for the first two weeks of the year. tears-frozen-to-cheeks, hurts-to-breathe cold. haaaaate. will make a point to pack fenders.
it was sunny and 19c in DC today. epic riding for my last day as a courier
