Anyone up for a little ride on Friday evening?

Anyone fancy a ride to the National Road Race Championships next Sunday (26th)? Promises to be a good event with big names such as Wiggins, Cavendish and Thomas racing for the title. It's out at Stamfordham so should be a decent ride out.

how far is that?

I'd be up for coming to town and then riding out.

Was it any good? Would have loved to have popped up (caught them practicing yesterday while I was out) but my sister made me go to the boot sale!

Absolutely fantastic race, got a few decent photo's (I'll post up later) and overtook Wiggins (he had just won so was understandably a bit tired).

Gutted. The little boozer up there is pretty nice too.

Alright guys, new here. Anybody know of any decent routes out of town, ie; Hexham, Corbridge. Better still, any good rides around Newcastle, Tynemouth or South Shields area?

There's a great route that goes out of dinnington around the back roads behind the cheese farm and then joins up with belay, could take you up there sometime? Or have you ever tried cycle route 72?
