If feel the same. I've never heard so many justified superlatives used, all of which were that much more potent in view of the scorn and negativity expressed by many in previous weeks.
I just really hope this legacy they're banging on about really happens and that the cost of the 'party' doesn't mean we all wake up with a crippling economic hangover as many predict.
The government says the Games will deliver economic benefits of £13 billion in coming years - hmmm, that sounds a bit optimistic. But what do I know?
Oh and my favourite moment - seeing Cav and other grown men cry on the podium.

Don't get your hopes up love, this is a government you're looking at,
But yes, it has been a positive time for the country.
Now, who can tell me the mtb result please? -

Now, who can tell me the mtb result please?I won't, and I sincerely hope we get more than a few token gestures (eg. the Mayor's 'Cycling Festival').

What did I miss - did he win the women's mountain biking?
-
• #1908
I love the fact that there are now 900 people online when there's only been 700 all day.
None of you are watching the closing ceremony at all.

Fizz asked me whether the Olympics had made me proud.
Nope.
But I love that there is an indoor velodrome on t' other side of London now. And I will admit to having deeply loved the action on the track and road.
Mostly the Olympics has re-affirmed to me the love of this sport of bikes and people.

its like the itv version of the opening ceremony.
These Olympics have blown my mind. Everyday there has been incredible events which have given me goose bumps.
I've said it before if this doesn't inspire a generation nothing will.
