Seems to work fine.
What is broken about it?
-
• #6128
did you click on "in reply to" or "@xxxx"? They're two different links.
-
• #6129
Good point... usernames always go to users.
-
• #6130
I'm getting this too. Using Chrome on OSX.
Added: clicking on the 'in reply to' part, not the username.
-
• #6131
As an example, if I click on the 'in reply to' link on this comment, it takes me back to the very same comment, not my posting above it.

Actually... I'm seeing quirks.
The top of page 245 of this thread, I replied to a comment on the prior page.
The link is:
https://www.lfgss.com/comments/13229166/incontext/
Which via
wget
goes here:

But when I click the link in Chrome on Linux, I end up at the "in reply to" link I clicked prior to this one.

In reply to... Chrome on Windows 7 and Safari on iPhone
-
• #6134
"In reply to" within the page and to previous page working fine here on Windows 7, both Chrome 40 and Palemoon 26.5.0 (x64 build of FF)
-
• #6135
Try one "in reply to" to a different page... then find another, and try that too.
-
• #6136
I keep finding one that doesn't work, trying it again and it works...
-
• #6137
It's definitely a bug, reproducible and easily documented.
I believe it's us (Cloudflare) and that it's a global issue. An internal JIRA has been created and we are working on it.
I've found mentions of other customers experiencing it, and it appears to have started late last night (@hippy was the first to raise it in a PM with me, but I thought it was something else at that time as the redirects he followed originated from emails).

Root cause has been identified, we're rolling back some code the caused this, should be fixed soon.
-
• #6139
I cannot access the forum on my chrome box. Only the words "internal server error" appear when I try to enter.
-
• #6140
Are you going to the home page or your following page or similar?
If you're logged out going to the following/updates page gives an error for some reason.
-
• #6141
It's down to the new authentication system. Go to the home page and relogin.
-
• #6142
Actually down to the error handling being shit.
Which was revealed by the authentication system change.
Which will be fixed when I rewrite the whole forum (which is happening).

• #6143
Bingo, thanks.
with the recently deceased phone thought I was gonna be out of action for a while.

• #6144
The search function doesn't appear to like some characters - for example, searching titles for "dads" or "mums" does not bring up the "dads/mums" thread.
-
• #6145
I remember having this discussion before. It's to do with the /. The only way to fix it was by adding spaces at either side.
-
• #6146
There has to be a space between the word preceding/following and the '/' for the search to work for those.
-
• #6147
Snap.
-
• #6148
Coincidentally happened to me yesterday for the same thread:https://www.lfgss.com/comments/13255102/
Got the answer now @Velocio

• #6149
Hey @skydancer why are you posting in two places?
-
• #6150
Cos I posted in the Search thread before I saw this discussion about the same thing, coincidentally
Sorry;)
Let me test that.
