You might notice that a font size selector is currently materialising below the nav bar on the right.
It looks like the site is screaming at me. When I look at it it makes me feel anxious.

Just refreshed the page, font has changed AGAIN, I do like watching the font change function gradually appearing though. Also preferring this latest font.

I have no idea what font you can see, nor why it changed.

It shouldn't be too hard for me to add some preference switch somewhere to affect the font size.
I imagine it would be:
65%
75%
85%
100%Does anyone want the text larger?
Could we have a 200%?
It means that I could put the laptop a different worktop whilst cooking tea, still read the forum and avoid those messy incidents when the arriabata sauce gets out of hand and splats all over the screen. I'm sure it's an issue most of us have and will be greatly received.
Ta muchly.

Sure thing.

I have a "100" in the top left corner of the home page which is nice.
-
• #1860
It seems to be on every page, which is nicer still.

What's the number 100 in the top left corner about?
-
• #1862
It represents the number to which you should count before posting anything provocative.

Think that David is adding a change font size thing at the moment which is why the 100 thing is there.

It's teeny small on my screen now.

It's gone.
I enjoyed it while it was there anyway. -

I am ambivalent about a lot of the demystification innovations such as the yellow star next to the donate button . It took me ages to wokr out why some people had a yellow star. In fact I only found out after I donated for the first time.
I suppose its good making this place more friendly and accessible -

I now have four "A"s on the top at the right.
This is also nice as they are in different sizes.
-
• #1869
I am trying to work out whether I am enjoying them as much as the "100"
-
• #1870
Like the A's
Looking forward to when they go live. -

I am not sure that a change in font makes it more friendly. That can only come from the charming people who post here.

So far today I have discovered ctrl + F5 and ctrl + scroll for which I am eternally grateful. However the text in the reply box is a totally different font and size to that of the rest of the page.

My reply box text is in Times :) (Firefox 10.0.2 Mac Snow Leopard)
Back in the day when I actually cut UI code it was all about the EMs.
Now it seems to be about using scripting to detect the screen size / device then re-jigging the entire layout 'appropriately'. What took one person a couple of days now seems to take a team of UI devs about three months. How odd things are.
Anyway it's awesome seeing the site tweaked in real time, great stuff Velocio.
