. Anyone know where you can get these? Or is it just new pedals time?
I was trying to get some new bearings for mine recently, and the UK distributors have just changed. They didn't have any of the spare parts or even the technical specs when I rung, but that would have been 3 weeks ago. Get on the phone to Chicken Cycles and see if they can help.
It's probably a standard rubber seal of some kind though, definitely not new pedal time.

Failing that^, try contacting the manufacturer direct. I lost a dust cap off my miche crank and miche sent me 2 new ones, gratis.

^^ that was mmc not me!

It was you who stole my seal?

Anyone got a pair of these going spare by any chance? (doesn't have to be green)
-
• #582
I've got a pair (with light grey as opposed to green) that i'm using until I get the ROCs sorted (see a few posts up) so may be able to let them go soon.

I have a pair of the yellow version (used) which I could be tempted out of. Just found some carbon wc's which suit the build more than the yellow ones.
*edit - they are the carbon MTB ones

How much? Just in case andytk doesn´t take them. -

Anyone seen or maybe even used a pair of these?

They look loooooovely. Obviously they will be awesome, I've never found a Time MTB pedal that I didn't like (I've broken a couple of Aliums but my ATAC XS, Z's and ROC's have all been great)

Are all Time Roc pedals adjustable?
Reason I ask is that I went to adjust the tension on my everyday bike and just turned the little screw no problems.
I also had a glance at the Roc pedals on my other bike (different only in colour - they are black and the ones on my daily bike are grey) - but where the screw should be there is just a metal bar - like a screw with no head.
Weird.
Done some more googling and answered my own question - there's a more basic model of the Roc which I must have.

I'll be upgrading this week as I have the following (guessing the same model as you describe above J0nathan):
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/time-roc-atac-xc2-pedals/These do not have an adjustment screw, bloody pain as I keep pulling my feet out of the pedals.

To be honest, they'd only felt like they needed adjustment after over a year of almost daily use - plus my cleats are worn and probably need replacing soon. Are your cleats pretty old too?
-
• #589
I pulled out mine once, and that was after a year of heavy use on the cleats. Buy some new cleats and see how fucked your old ones are, the new ones will feel solid as 'owt.
-
• #590
They're on discount at Wiggle at the moment for anyone interested - £14.99 delivered.
-
• #591
I'm guessing mine are not the cleats, the pedals/cleats are about two weeks old with less than 50 miles on them.
But I'll have to check for any faults, which I didn't think of checking to be honest. -

One of my Crank Candies exploded on my ride home today so think I'll replace them with the oft recommended Time Atacs.
Thing is there's quite a number of models and finding it hard to establish what differences they offer. Alum, xc2, xc2 roc, xc4, xc4s etc etc.
Don't think the higher end carbon and more road looking models are for me, but can anyone give any usefu advice between the models?
Secondly my Mavic Cyclo Tour shoes are somewhat worn out. Had a look at a new pair and noticed the soles are about 5mm thicker than mine! I lie them though as they are fairly subtle, quite sleek and can be got away with wearing about generally, so looking more towards the casual type shoes that can take cleats - any recommendations there that are tough, still good and stiff for longer rides and have plenty of cleat adjustment potential (a bit of a failing of the Mavics)

They have recently renamed and rebranded their pedals. The old atac xs were good, the crabons better. Ti axles were a cost I could never justify.
Sidi dominators now have a UK version with replaceable sole bits, so probably the most appropriate for fixie skidders.
-

I hope you aren't accusing me of being one of those braklezz fixie skidder types.
Because I'm shit.
-
• #595
Time atac xc2 are doing me pretty well, also Mavic rush/razor shoes.
-
• #596
Of the lower end models, are the Aliums or the Rocs better? There's not much in it weight wise. Are there any other factors worth considering?
-
• #597
I've had far better experience with rocs than aliums, unclipping less mainly but I think my aliums were defective.
-
• #598
I've had great experience with Aliums...
Got some of the old style ones and they suck in comparison, unclip too easily.
-
• #599
My Aliums work great, had them for 2 years and scraped fuck out of them on kerbs and they're still fine.

How about the XC's? XC2's can be found for roughly the same price as the Aliums, have a slightly higher RRP and look more like the ROC's.
I'm definitely leaning towards the ROC's for the sake of an extra few quid after reading a few of the recommendations on here.
Edit: I've just seen the ROCs listed as ROC (XC2). Question answered.
Maybe it's still there. What has been lost is your ability to perceive it.
