I know at least a couple of people running flat springs, had a quick spin on them on wednesday and they felt fine.

I've got some XC8's, moving on from ROC carbons, nice pedals.

Nope, sorry- wasn't clear, I have replaced an older, failing pair of ROC Carbons with the XC8's, and find them to be nice pedals.

I just replaced my xs with the same pedal, I agree about them being nice.

Aliums or XC2? Had a couple of unclips with SPDs at full tension.

415g vs 372g. Aliums a little tougher, but XC2 slightly nicer...

Time Atac cleats are made of brass. Always buy new ones because worn cleats are a nightmare.

1st link is the rebranded roc, second link is probably just older stock in a different box. So basically, the same pedal. Take another look at the plastic in the first link, they still have roc written on them.

Only noticed the plastic, I'll go with the cheaper ones so if they're the same pedal. Thanks.

Both pedals have an adjustment screw just beside each spring, is that not for tension adjustment?

Nope they actually don't.

Indra is right. I roll XC2's and they have no tension adjustment. But are great sturdy and I love em. Only unclip during dry road forceful whipskids once in a while. But I solved that buy swapping the cleats around. Put the right foot cleat on the left and vice versa and you won't unclip easily ever. Great for Track I am assuming. Getting your foot out is tough. when you swap em over.
