It's good to know. There's nothing more upsetting than seeing a cyclist with a body mass index North of 25.
-
• #81
Oh, it's north of 25 alright. And I'm glad it makes you upset. I like upsetting people.

Which is why I let you go on ahead, to enjoy the visual metaphor of rising cholesterol.
-
• #83
The only thing you 'let' was yourself get beaten.
My cholesterol level is fine. Maybe you should eat more meat :P -

Let's wait till I'm tapering for the big event of my cycling calendar, and we're both on gears, blah, blah :)
I cast a spell behind your back, imbuing you with pescine super-powers. You should be thankful.

I think you mean: "you didn't train, you were sick and you were riding fixed vs. me geared" :)
I wish I could climb!

Go out the front of the Foster building on Battersea Bridge when it's raining.
There are those smooth-as-fnck concrete slabs that go all slippy in the wet.
It's my secret spot for getting the skids in.
But I am definitely not a custard guts. -

Ok, i've searched the threads for this, can't find it, so i'm gonna risk the wrath of the regulars and ask how the hell do i skip stop. do you bunny hop and then lock up the pedals?? i can skid stop fine, but i need a mini skid stop for when i need to slow down a little bit and not wear the tyres out.

try selling some goods on the forum before asking technical questions.
Jeez, have you ever used the internet? -
• #92
Skidding is never going to be a great method of stopping.
However you can try a method I believe to be called 'skipping'
You engage skid, lean backwards into it putting pressure on the trailing pedal, bounce up & repeat.
It kind of stopps you a little betters, and reduces tyre wear compared to the other way.

I like to imagine I am on a space hopper. Nothing to do with bikes, I just like to imagine I am on a space hopper.

I've never been on a space hopper.

A horn in each mitt as you bounce around the room, Will?
Let's face it; we've all been there, haven't we?Oh.

Sometimes I like to think about pogo sticks too.

the best way to learn is, take your brakes off and you will have no option but to realise what's the quickest way to stop
Yes, but how fat are you?
