  • It always is, isn't it?

  • Its not small. Its just hiding.

  • Pieminster pie and mash for £8.50 is good value.
As is £3.10 for a pint of Landlord, and Hoegarden on Tap for the Schickster.
If Fruitbat gets there before 6pm they have a pensioner's special, Landlord for £2.
They say they have extended the garden. Fancy an exploratory fact-finding mission?

Which pub is this for? Fruitbat is gonna be pissed at your comment btw. Maybe literally at £2 per pint.

  • My penis is still scared

But how are your sponsored balls?

    Aint he :-)

    The Kenton Arms.

  • kenton is good, been there a couple of times. getting to the garden with bikes may be a bit tricky though

  • Looks like there's a gate at the side but I could be tripping

  • You're pretty much the only person who didn't think it was awesome.

Awww, Niall, Easts is always awesome dead dead awesome.

Still if you will insist on drinking that hideous piss you call beer, expect to be disappointed. And overcharged.

I'm not taking lessons from someone who didn't know the meaning of the English word 'bier'. ;P

Max, just look down carefully in front of you, even if it is a long way down, and just slightly raise your foot when stepping over it. You won't trip.

  • I'm up for the Kenton Arms, too, by the way. Good call. It almost sounds a bit like a Pear Tree-like option?

  • berlin guy is searching for real beer.

  • Hemingway is def my vote for a long term home...

  • My only gripe with the Hamingway is the lack of outdoor heaters/covering. This might be fixed when they finish the beer garden though.
I'm not going to make it next wednesday, I'm working.

    I would.

was a great night and managed to get drunker than planed but did have a very short cycle to cat sit.

  • This is the pub I was talking about last night, Niall.

    Kenton Arms, Kenton Rd E9.
Apparently there's a big garden out back.

Right, we're going here this week!

  • Dogs are welcome too, apparently. Are you sure it's such a good idea?

He's usually running rather than cycling these days.

  • It's a pub in an odd area, could be either fantastic or dire. The problem with pubs near Viccy park is that it's percieved as a cool area and a destination in itself, so they always get the passing trade, therefore they can charge loads for beer and food. Pubs in a more difficult area need some incentive to get the pun'ers in.

This is most likely a mistake but I have high expectations for this pub.

  • Hemingway is def my vote for a long term home...

It's a nice pub but £4.20 for a pint of heineken is a piss take of epic proportions.

  • If you're going to order a pint of piss...

  • Blue I was most disappointed at your absence on Saturday :(

  • The estate opposite the Kenton ain't exactly nice, I'd bring an extra lock just in case if you're locking up outside/out of view

  • Title changed.

  • If you're going to order a pint of piss...

My point exactly. I'd expect to pay that for Hoedown or whatever Mr Schick drinks. But generic dutch lager that's probably brewed in sunny Bedfordshire?
