woody woodpecker = 'Mr. Horsepower' hence the sticker on chain stay. It's the logo for Clay Smith Cams.
Not sure why an american V8 racing camshaft manufacturer is the theme for that bike

pretty sure it goes both ways?
-
• #16407
obviously one of those bikes where the owner/builder juts looked at things and went ooo that looks cool ad put it on a bike

Top tip about NurseHolliday. Mr. Horsepower used to be my avatar.

Amazing frame though.

Stupid as it is.
But man put some CX tyres on there, and I'd bite your arm for a go on it. Ti frame, Hub gear, Belt drive, friendly standover, disc brakes, and deep section rims. Perfect for fast dirty fun.
Want!

friendly standover,
What, with a hump in the top tube right where your knackers are going to land? A straight tube would be friendlier.

Its still pretty low. I was thinking about freedom of thigh movement more that slipping off though.
Or just get a moutain bike........
I'd have both (and do). Riding light trails on a CX bike is great fun. Worth having a proper MTB for proper MTB'n though.
n+1

I wonder how belt drive would cope with UK CX. US if fine because it's all dry and from what I've seen fairly flat so you can do SS. Belgian CX has sand in it which kills standard drivetrains and I imagine it would wear out the sprockets and chainrings but I wonder how the belt would survive.
A lot of the CX over here is done on shitty grass and boggy playing fields. I can imagine the belt getting clogged up pretty damn fast

I have a belt on the 29er. Doesnt clog in the slightest and performs at the end of a gunky ride as well as at the start.
It really shines off-road.

Probably Pearoast

Surely you can't turn it right because that super tight cable would catch on that aero head tube? or am i being a fool and not seeing the wood for the trees?
-
• #16419
^um, it goes backward only. Hence turning right.

I think the cable is a lot further from the frame, but my point was that you have to remember the forks move with the bars, but i do see your point, i think if you go left the cable will catch on the downtube no?

• #16421
shouldn't it move away from the d/tube because of the noodle?

change to normal bar tape on both and plain tyres on the blue one and they're both quite nice I'd say.

I did ask the framebuilder about that, however it appear that there's not much room at all, I lowered the cable holder down and notice that if it were in-line with the seatstay, there's little room for the cable to bend, unless it's through the seattube/seatpost;
We're discussing it here since it's pretty much the right place for it according to every forumeanger in this side of the internet.
I don't think it look half bad, took a better photos of it today;
Because your drop levers work is designed to work with v-brake.
Just get yourself a pompino quick, before you spend many hundreds of pounds butchering a frame that was never designed to run canti's, run canti's. Its never going to work as well as a pompino. Plus pompino frames are actually pretty nice, the forks look a bit basic/ugly. But the frame and its wishbone rear end are ace.
I think I remember you actually buying a pompino already, seriously, just use it!
lolz. Not enough racks.
