Just got a Gazelle Champion Mondial track bike from 1975 the other day. The guy used it as a typical 'fixie' so he painted it really bad (green with yellow john deere stickers YUK!). Imma get it painted in the original color and trying to get it as original as possible. Will post pictures after its painted :)

Took a while, but I am very pleased with them both. Just need to get them framed and on the wall.

This is no Gazelle and no Columbus multishape.
Sport Primeur is a cheap dutch citybike.
This isn't. -

Very unique Gazelle track frame / bike.
I remember that it was built.
Looks like this one was built for Mieke Havik.
It even appears somewhere on Youtube.
A similar but slightly smaller one was built for Henny Top.
A year before, there was one for Jelle Nijdam, I think for the 1984 Olympics. -

^ what is going on with the seat post clamp? some kind of quill/expanding seat post?
-

you've probably been asked this before, but did you used to work at Gazelle?
Yes, 1984-1989.
I made a certain contribution to these Pursuit / Time Trial bikes.
I think there are approx. 7 pcs of these Gazelle lo pro track frames in the world.
For sure less than 10. -

hmmm collectors item
puts EUR 3,000 bid in maarkplaats
-
• #1495
Eur 3000 is a bit steep, it will sell for the current 635 or maybe a bit higher.

hmmm 1 of 10 .. my size ... pay day a few days ago .....
do you know the seller ? he seems to sell a lot of stuff so i guess he wouldn't have a problem with posting to the uk ? he must have shipped parts around the world
-
• #1497
No sorry, I don't know him.
I think he's more a seller than a collector. -
• #1498
^ I've been speaking to the seller - he believes that there are only three of these frames... and is looking for something around 1200euros...
and he is happy to post to London...
-
• #1499
Besides 3 frames for dutch riders, at least 4 were built for the german track team of Nordrhein Westfalen.

hmmm 1200 eur is getting a bit steep
dutch cheese can you go back to the factory and make some more please !!
Just won this on auction for super cheap (not my photo). I totally love the looks of it (skip the framepad). Will be my main bike for getting around the city. I wish it had eyelets though.
