^^ESA will soon be launching their own equivalent, although they have been saying that for years, my mates dad is working on it with ESTEC, in the meantime Arianne could still launch a GPS satellite (I think). Besides geostationary satellites have a very predictable orbit that doesn't degrade rapidly and the satellites are little more than atomic clocks and radio transmitters, also being military technology there will be multiple redundancies built in.

Anyhooo am looking forward to beers tonight, is tonight the night when we will be sharing with the Harley boys, or would that be next week if we went again?

Look £10 for a burger is pretty good given that ingredients are getting more and more expensive, remember wholesale always takes the hit before retail, and that to make a living a landlord/chef will have to have a 70% gross profit on their ingredients cost. I have no problem with paying that much for a burger, as long as its not a clit / eyelid burger dressed up as a proper one!

I used to like popping over to Wests from work, especially in the summer. A group of us used to do that and have a blast riding back through Battersea Park. These days I think about it, check this thread and see bitching and really can't be arsed to fucking work out where you lot go these days...I know I'm not the only one.

That and i remember when... fucking Wests were a blast! always last out the pub, Richie leading the souths crew back past the skiddy skid spot, more weed smoking and hard drinking than critiquing and fine dining. Object with his tyre aids from the east and the seminal launch of J mag.. shit and fear not. i have a feeling those days will return!

I think this needs a birthday party/bright times/fiddy memorial in the west drinks final destination to blow a smoke cloud over this shit fight and start from scratch.

Hey folks good to see a good turn out tonight. Enjoyed the night, and the company have to say though that sadly I really wasn't a fan of the pub. Last week people were actually being complementary about the raven, something that in my experience doesn't happen often with beers, I would therefore propose that this should become the permanent wests home

Really enjoyed last night. Pub was better than I thought it may have been when looking for it, but not ‘the one’ probably. Too many chummy Hugo’s for my sensitive disposition. And a 4/10 burger. Plus they teased me with Hoegaarden being on tap, but actually it being in the process of being removed and so empty.

Fun though.
