  • Fuck off

  • Bloke on a single speed beater Old St came flying up my inside today and stumbled off onto the curb. I was about to get all 'what the fuck are you doing' about it but then I realised his brake leaver had snapped off in his hand.

I asked if he was alright, he ignored me, I asked again, he ignored me again.

The only thing that pissed me off about this incident was him ignoring my genuine concern for him and his bike's health.

Yesterday a bloke on the train was ramming his bike into the rack and really knocking my bike about. I wasn't angry, the way I see it is that I'm the unusual one for being precious about my bike. I got up and helped him get in the rack and tried to strike up a bit of friendly chat. All I got was a grunt and scowl.

    Why are people so ignorant?

first one was probably just a bit shocked by what happened, the second one just sounds like a cnut.

  • I saw what looked like a chap on Nhat's creamroller yesterday on NOx.

I think Jay/Cake is borowing it after his lung op - the coaster brake's easier to ride than his brakeless deathtrap

  • Spotted purplemj i think :

    Tall Bloke - Check
    Glasses - Check
Head to Toe in Rapha - Check
    Titanium Frame - Check

Was at the end of Eltham high street, followed all the way through to Lewisham.

  • Fuck off

I would have preffered that reaction, at least it's human.

I saw a motorbike get knocked off last September. Pulled over to help him out and offer to be a witness and he took a swing at me. His wife (who was on the back of the motorbike) had to hold him back. That left me with more hope for humanity than this mornings event.

No, it wasn't that. I've a good sense for these things.

  • Brun yesterday in a pub. Typical.

  • dear nodder couple who rode on the pavement with eargoggles in - enjoy your 30 quid fine you no doubt got slapped with when you got to the other end of the road/pavement - i tried to warn you about the pigs down there but you seemed more interested in giving me an annoyed, aloof 'tchoh' while i pointed and mouthed the word 'poh leeeese!'

What was wrong with his other brake lever?

  • What was wrong with his other brake lever?

No idea, assume it was the front that snapped and that the rear brake on his beater wasn't all that effective at the speed he was going. He was lucky I wasn't a car.

Lol... I've had someone run into the back on me while I was waiting at a light, not apologise, then undertake when the light turned green.

Plus the frame on my fixed is covered in dents and scratches - i sure don't remember causing them, must be people smashing locks and stuff about when locking up...

WTF? Did he get confused and assume you'd been the one that hit him?

  • It sounds more arrogant than ignorant.

    /pedant.

No arrogant's not the right word, there was no inference of superiority in either case.

I've always used ignorant in this context: socially inconsiderate. I can't back that up with a dictionary definition so I'm probably wrong.

  • WTF? Did he get confused and assume you'd been the one that hit him?

No, he was just jumped up on adrenaline. He came to his senses moments later and apologised.

  • Who's the guy on the Fort who sped past me down from the City and then over London Bridge this morning. Nice bike... brave riding!

  • I saw what looked like a chap on Nhat's creamroller yesterday on NOx.

    Hello!

    Blah blah blah brakeless deathtrap

    I resent that slightly.

  • nice roll in with Lucky this morning.

and saw chopsicle in waterloo the other day - sorry we didn't really get a chance to catch up - hope all is good dude

  • bumped into somebody with an awesome beater (ish, hope not offending) blue stickered up fix with moustache bars and front rack very a la porteur. on grange road, I was about to turn right onto tower bridge road.
i said (rather nerdily) 'that's awesome', to which you replied 'at least it won't get knicked', or something along those lines. nice little chat at the lights.
you looked very familiar to me - must be on here?

  • "somebody" is some one on here..

  • Sounds like Skully, but could be wrong

Me too and we are right.

  • hellomiles in my office, an hour ago

  • The Queen, Ken High Street at lunchtime... her motorcade slowed up just outside Zara and she looked out of the window and smiled

  • Someone wearing Nitto work cap near Britannia Pub, Viccy Park.
A couple riding Eastway towards Leyton - hardcore bro on a fixeh and a girl on a black flowery shopper.

Mutligrooves in Hackney. Nice to see you. We have to catch up at SEs one day.

  • Finepics this morning at the foot of Queenstown Road.

Didn't holler - was in a car with 5 screaming kids. Joys of unemployment - woot!
