  • Did i spot a BikePusher with a rather stunning Colnago this AM ? Old Street area. Sun was obscuring a little, but it really looked like George.

Sounds like him, that Colnago is indeed stunning.

late to the party, but yes it was indeed me... good spot. on my way to the office. what a beautiful day for a ride

thanks for the praise, it's a nice bike that deserves a (much) better rider

hope you're well James - give me a holler next time and if you're ever near Brick Lane during office hours feel free to PM me and swing by for a coffee at the stu-stu-studio.

    Ol, see you soon

  • S.Walrus last night at Stockwell. I only ever spot people South of the River now*

    *hippy doesn't count

  • Mr Clever Pun on Deptford Church St. nice to see you again sir!

indeed, seems you've had some recent upgrades in bike and attire

  • indeed, seems you've had some recent upgrades in bike and attire

the tricross is my original bike, it just doesnt get let out much these days as the fixed is too much fun.

the attire though is indeed new.

  • I've been keeping an eye out for Hatbeard and Cleverpun for ages...we ride the same way at the same time and I never spot you. I'll be darned.

  • Chap on a very nice baby blue geared Pearson with matching rear knog riding in this morning down Rosebery Avenue towards Holborn, I rode behind you for a bit, muddy blue and yellow triple triangle frame and blue LCEF cap.

It's really quite sad that riders like this (riding in a sensible position at a reasonable speed, no silly commuter racing or riding like a dick/obliviously) often stand out on my commute :(

  • Saw a girl riding N over Southwark Bridge this morning on a beautiful geared Colnago not at all dissimilar to ^fox's.

    I knew it. I should've said something. Didn't want you getting the wrong idea y'day ; )

    True, true.

  • Saw Truli at about 10 in the morning, outside Angel station, and Overdrive few minutes later on St. John st.
    Morning!

Me to but nada....must get a bike that stands out a bit more.

Maybe Deptford/Greenwich mini beers are in order.

  • Hello to lycra clad geared Giant rider I muttered to on the Old Kent Road... Unfortunately OKR in the dark and in the rain is no place for a chit-chat, I wanted to get outta there.

I hope you were amused by me nearly getting merked by the Merc...

  • Wools heading out towards Epping Forest in a small group.

Ha! Does two riders make a small group? :) Need to get out there a bit earlier next time. Passing all those riders on their way back out of Epping as we were only just getting started made me feel like a slacker!

Haha i guess thats an amicable way of putting 'i'm faster than you', in retrospect that was some killer pace. Twas a very close call with the Merc, it certainly wouldn't have made your journey any better...

I know the landlord of the spanish galleon on the corner of greenwich market and he's a fellow cyclist so could probably get us the back room and see if he'd mind us bringing our bikes into the pub.

I can't do anything til march though as I'm flat broke, and we have the bodeans meat meet on the 3rd so prob the week after that is the earliest I can do.

Did it really have a basket?

  • Girl on a red steel Langster, riding along St. Marks Road with your pack in your left hand; your chain's so slack it looks as if you'll throw your chain the second you accelerate.

Just at the top of the same road, where it joins North Pole Road, bloke on a black fixed bike with red (dark orange?) rims; I'm the guy in a yellow top on a very yellow track bike who DASsed you as he passed.

  • Ludwig! Me! Highgate! Again! I couldn't see who it was, but your "Hullo" made possible the spot.

In exchange I offered my most clearest, most friendliest greeting (relative to nearing the top of a steep hill), but by that point you'd already whizzed off in the opposite direction.

  • super hardcore rad to the max poloenger going past the florence in herne hill last night in the rain. possibly joeslain. not that it matters, what with him being self exiled to the radiation wastes.

  • Guy on an MTB going through New Cross Gate, heading townwards. Had a three foot section of really heavy duty 8" diameter poly pipe strapped to his top tube and was riding John Wayne-style. I asked him if he was making a giant polo mallet. No, his mate had called and asked if he had a bit of 6" pipe he could have, and 8" was all he had. Odd.

Did i follow you up Crystal Palace Road last night?
    (me on black Pearson)

Not me, but that's my manor - St Quintin Avenue.

  • I saw what looked like a chap on Nhat's creamroller yesterday on NOx.

  • Bloke on a single speed beater Old St came flying up my inside today and stumbled off onto the curb. I was about to get all 'what the fuck are you doing' about it but then I realised his brake leaver had snapped off in his hand.

I asked if he was alright, he ignored me, I asked again, he ignored me again.

The only thing that pissed me off about this incident was him ignoring my genuine concern for him and his bike's health.

Yesterday a bloke on the train was ramming his bike into the rack and really knocking my bike about. I wasn't angry, the way I see it is that I'm the unusual one for being precious about my bike. I got up and helped him get in the rack and tried to strike up a bit of friendly chat. All I got was a grunt and scowl.

    Why are people so ignorant?
