    SICK.

  • These are gunna be BIG!

  • George French is one of my heroes. It's not even a joke, he is genuinely one of my heroes. He took his degree, knowledge, and experience and applied it to something he loved. He designed and produced some amazing parts in Sheffield himself and over time his parts proved to be exactly what he intended and thus his business grew to the point GSPOrT parts are not only popular in the UK but partially thanks to Odyssey, BMXers all around the world swear by his parts. He is such an intelligent guy and if I could make an impact on someone in BMX like he made an impact on me I'd be so proud of myself.

Haha I totally missed this, George French is a knob.

This is one of his "genius" ideas!

Now getting off the subject, hyde park, leeds in the summer - this is bmx!

  • so he's a knob because he made one frame that you don't like the idea of?

makes you even more of a knob really.

  • knob haha! Yeh I used to think eveything he made was badass too, it's not, here's a list of failed products (not to mention his old custom frames):

gland 1/2 (using a shoelace to hold on a hubguard???)
    wombolts (up to v3 already)
elementry stem (v3 also, the first ones cracked or only fitted odyssey forks)

His new rachet hub (not cassette????), ok i'll give him that and the marmoset too and the rims as well.

But oh I forgot - Plegs haha!!!!
He also said he would never make 36 hole hubs.

Anyway yeh, he definately got a lot of BMXers through a difficult mid-school stage. But thats it, his products aren't any better than anyone elses.

I've never met him personally, he might be a gen up guy. From what I've been told though, he's weird.

Shimano made Biopace. Not everyone's perfect.

At least George French is always pushing the limits with bike design.

    • Most of this stuff was designed when BMX was all about jumping of the biggest building to flat. Homer hubs were the shit back then! I still have one!
  • Awesome BMX products:

    KMC 510
    Profile Race Canks
    Integrated Headsets
    Profile Cassette Hub
    S & M Redneck
    Odyssey hazard rim
    Odyssey Celinski Pedals
    Mid / Spanish BB
    Wide angle / death lens

These were all actually "ground breaking" products

    notable mentions:
    primo dirt / v monsters
    990 brakes
    odyssey linear cable
    pivotal seatpost

    now for something 100% awesome

  • Regarding G-Sport, I am on my second Homer. The first one was fine but I moved the chainset over to the left. It is bomb proof, it rolls faster than ANY cassette hub and is only slightly heavier.

    sweet ride.

heres mime, happens to be up for sale in the classifieds...

  • Why are there loads on crusers on the BMX page?

  • I am no BMXer, but this is my 'nip-around-locally' BMX. Had a lot of fun on this bike, and best of all she's the beast that, years ago when I bought her, reminded me of the sheer joy that single speed brings.

Is that frame a 2 Hip Pork? My back aches just looking at it...

  • That thing would survive a nuclear blast; the whole bike's got to be 40lbs+ Late nineties BMX at its best...

  • jsut got a new bmx, need to find some places in london to ride now... any good places hackney way?

  • makin me wanna ride bmx agan

  • there is a track behind Hackney City Farm, I've never seen anyone on it though..
