The rear brake on my BMX is truly awful - it's a V-brake design. Anyone else resolved this?
At the moment it's very much a suggestion that slowing should start, rather than an instruction.

Aha well this came out the scrap in Swindon so there must be at least two survivors 20 years on.

Ooooh I can play that game. I promised myself I wouldn't buy anymore real bikes so I got these two.

That’s cheating. Those are actually nice.
Made a start with new tyres/tubes/pedals/grips and a bit on the rust.
Very tempted to put the super huge black Salt bars I have going spare, so this thing is comfortable to ride about. Gotta replace brake cables next, and I’m not happy with the spring on the nds front brake pivot. It’s not returning properly. Will look for a spare or swap for some other brakes. Currently wet fart level stopping power on front and back.
Gearing is nice and high.

It's not cheating if you get 4 bikes for 140€ and store them at your parents place.

Say whaaaaat. That’s a bargain then.

It must be months since I last went on a little bike instead of a full sus mtb. Since when was the ground so hard? And bumpy?!

Bigger bars arrived. Fitted them and a bit of time spent polishing the chrome. Gotta touch up the flaked areas, probably rattle can chrome since it’s no shelf queen. Slow progress but starting to like it.
Bars are a bit weird, little bit of sweep and not enough space for modern DMR grips, so using the originals the seller had on them. Grippy enough but a bit meh. .

Anybody want a Felt Vault 2012 F+F ?
Solid enough, looks like it wasn’t used for tricks. Odd scuff but no proper dents.
There’s a chance I’m in London on Wednesday very briefly late morning/lunchtime around Whitechapel probably (helping a disabled to her meetings). Could probably drop off in Zone1 anywhere lunchtime. Otherwise I can post at cost.
You can have it as-is, but if you don’t want the bars/brake/stem/chain I’ll take them off to save carrying it.
Offers?

I cleaned the bmx. Needed to tighten the bottom bracket anyway, and decided maybe it deserved a clean and lubrication after six months of abuse since the last clean. But fuck me. Fucking hell. There are so many people out on the paths. I can’t believe some of the groups of people. Nobody is following social distancing guidelines.

Cross posting from a WTD thread - I'm after a pair of 20" (406) tyres and tubes for a hack project. Cheap, cheerful and just about usable as possible ...
