Wiggins' average speed in the final tt was 49.9km/h. That means he could do 3 laps in about 39mins
-
• #1528
Millar did a lap in 13 35 didn't he, interesting benchmark against this list.
Wish I could have a crack at this

Millar's time is amazing. Shame they took the video down as he must have been absolutley smashing it all round the park.
Still, I think developing a career as a TT specialist, being busted for drugs, and riding several grand tours might just be a little too much preparation for most forumengers so I'll stick to shaving the seconds off my relatively paltry 17min+ PB lap time. That bikeradar lot though...wouldn't put it past them

absolutley smashing it

Pretty sure if he was up to that he would have taken a bit longer than 13 35, no matter how high his cadence

Very strange, the David Millar v Graham Bell video was there last week?

whats the proper strava segment for the 3 lap ? it seems a bit fucked to me when I look at mine
-
• #1534
nevermind was looking at the stripped list without links. I cant seem to find a proper CCW 3 lap. The one on strava is 13.8 miles

Working from home during the Olympics so I should get a chance to go for a lunchtime hoon around the park from Monday.
It'll be a stark reminder that I'm 15kg heavier than I should be and haven't done anywhere near the miles I used to regularly do. Under 70 minutes on my usual 67" fixed and I'll be happy.
-
• #1537
yeah laps are mad borked. I did 10 today and was hoping a sequence of 3 would show up at least once but no : /
Down to 18 minute laps at least despite the park being full of team cars and fence builders :D
-
• #1538
18 minute laps. I might have to rethink joining you in the intermediates training at HHV this weekend.
-
• #1539

Just got a new phone so now I can Strava the shit out of it. I reckon I've got a 56 in me somewhere. Here begins the end of all social relations and the beginning of obsessing over numbers on an internet page...

Anyone up for some laps tomorrow? I'm meeting someone at LMNH at 9am and heading over for a bit.

Stupid question.
What happened to all the deers? I haven't seen a single one today.
Has locog taken care of them? -
• #1546
Shot them, turned them into pie.
Makes night training in RP much easier.
-
• #1547
I did one lap (a trundling 24:02 on 67" fixed) on the way to dropping off some Olympic tickets for a friend in Barnes the other day. Saw a few deers on the drop down towards Ham Gate from Richmond Gate and more between Robin Hood Gate and Roehampton Gate.
Mmm. Venison.

Anyone see the man and woman getting stopped by TWO police cars for speeding. Daftness.
-
• #1549
Saw them scoop the first guy and it seemed there was something going on with a baby stroller and a group of peds. But it might just have been a coincident they where around the police cars. Then they stopped some poor girl as well with what looked like a hybrid with a rack on.

LOL Might avoid for a bit!
What can you do to a speeding cyclist?
no drafting allowed
