sounds like your still riding brakeless then george.....?
-
• #303
man that's shit.
hope you're not too badly hurt.
btw, crustlord, did i see you last night?
saw a group of three on fixed in pelham square - a brown langster with risers, a surly and a silver mash(?) with drops?
i was on a red bike with bullhorns...
yes that was me (on the langster with newly buckled front wheel) and my friend tom (with his brand new steamroller) and mikey with a road conversion that i did for him.
we were meant to be going for a ride, but due to crashing we went and ate shit loads of food at the george instead. i'm fine by the way thanks. just a bruised shoulder.

still riding brakeless. still livin' the dream. x
p.s. last time i crashed i had a brake and look where that got me. so my own experience suggests that less brakes equals less facial injury. you see my logic, no?

went to Steyning tonight to do what I thought was a 10 mile time trial, turned out to be 16.5 miles round Ashurst and down the A24, most of it seemed uphill apart from there's a fast downhill stretch on the A24 where I thought my shorts were going to catch fire, my arse is red raw from bouncing around at 37mph, next 16.5 I shall sell my soul and use gears
-
• #306
that sounds pretty hardcore, 37mph!
right let's try and get a ride/piss about sorted for next week. tues/wed evening?
Andy, your TT is pimp. I want one now!
-
• #307
wed would be better for me... maybe go watch a few of the races down the track then wander off?
-
• #308
already meant to be out for a drink that night, so a short-ish ride after watching a coupla races sounds good to me.
-
• #309
just remembered I might have to work in London Wed night. I'm going to try and get out of it.
-
• #310
sounds good
-
• #311
plan-tastique!
-
• #312
i think we might almost have a full swoop if elvis can get outta work
-
• #313
nooooo, have to work at some event in london. i'm out. i can't seem to get out at all at the moment.
-
• #314
I'm super looking forward to some rides soon. At the moment I'm deeply involved in finishing university, but in a week or so I'll be a free man.
I've noticed an explosion of mono-cogs recently. I caught one glimpse in my first three years of riding fixed in B-Town. Now I seem to average one a day. Both the road/track crew, and a lot of kids on SS MTBs (my next project I think..)
(on a side, Who did I spot heading Falmer-Brighton about 2 hours ago?)

saw someone wheeling a nice metallic blue 70s/80sish fix through pavilion gardens, my girlfriend thought I was checking other girls as I craned my neck to see the bike better. 'Honestly i was looking at that dudes bike' rarely washes in a park full of sunbathing chicks. Nice ride either way if you're on here!
-
• #316
andy you gonna be down the workshop at the weekend? gonna need to borrow someones tools expertese. Got the bits to covert the MTB to SS at last
-
• #317
So did any of you guys go to the track on Wednesday?
-
• #318
haven't made it down for a few weeks, i think we're gonna come down watch a few races before going for a bit of a ride this week.
Have you moved the later start date yet dean?
-
• #319
dino - i came down but didn't race - had to work late. i swung by the track after, but tthe weather looked poor so i made a hasty exit...
will make the effort to register for this week if i can. i'll say hello next time i make it down.

saw a lady riding some form of fixie with a Pink Deep V heading down queens road the other day, and also see the same bloke on a fuji riding up towards the station between half 5 and 6!
-
• #321

if its a dirty red, tube wrapped fuji thats me as thats on my route home, BTW is it me or has Western Road become impassable sometimes due to backed up buses, whats going on? -

yeah can be a right pain in the arse. generally take the seafront to avoid it.
-
• #324
its my quickest way home to Hanover Elvis, I'm caught between a rock and a hard place, Western Road and buses mayhem or Davigdor Road which I reckon is one of the most 'Doorable' roads in Brighton so I tend to avoid that one.

met someone on a black fixie (what is it with black bikes..?) coming along passed st peter's church. i was on my ridiculous yellow lo pro. is it anyone on here??
and i also saw a guy with a (surprise) black fixie, no brake & bulllhorns riding along the promenade (maybe with yellow tyres??).
there seem to be more of us cropping up by the day!
i cleaned my bike for the first time in 7 months! haha i have silver hubs again!
