My housemate leaving a tea bag in the plug hole of the sink each morning, just put it straight in the bin ffs.

What straps were they, and how/where were they locked? Condolences on your loss.

Yup, luckily one of the straps was intact enough (the piece of suede left was about 1mm thick) to keep my foot in the cage.

They were Exus laminated suede double straps, pretty pissed off :-S only been running them 3-4 months.
I'm gonna e-mail Exus, let them know what i think of there products; in the nicest possible way of course.

Shit i got them. what clips?
-
• #4309
Velosolo double clips on MKS Sylvan track pedals,
They snapped at the part where they enter the pedal on the outside.
Pretty glad there was enough left to keep my foot in the cage, could of ended up brown bread.I would advise you to check for wear.

I had the velo solo double clips, then changed to blb cages, cos the metal concrete scrape was unbearable

Yeh, agreed, the sound is a real head-turner.
Very annoying. -

Aleksi has the same straps and his are ripped to fuck.
Personally I wouldn't ride any straps except NJS thick laminated suede ones.
MKS, Toshi and Kashimax to name a few. (actually I think that's all of them)

You can get single Toshis or MKS and they are just as good as doubles. They don't stretch or slip.
-
• #4314
Yeah i wanted MKS in the first place, just couldn't afford.
Now i'm gonna have to shell out mad money :( -
• #4315
It is more than worth the money, trust me.
They last for years and years. I know people who've had the same pair for 3, 4 years. Still going strong.
The ones I have I got second hand, and have definitely been around for a while. still nice and rigid. No signs of ripping or stretching or anything.

Yeah, no doubt.
Cheers for the advice.

I hate adverts that are ALREADY referencing Tron and lightbikes and EL panels AND using cheesy soundalike versions of Daft Punk's score.
Creatives?

No such thing as a new idea, Steve...

I know :(
Can I hate all the girls dressed like Paula Yates on The Tube and all boys with Echo and the Bunnymen hair and elastic bottomed jeans?
-
• #4320
elastic bottomed jeans?
What the fuck!? Is that like joggers but made of denim? -

The current obsession with combining two words does my head in, eg. jeggings, slankets, sporks, bromance etc.
Fuck off immediately.
