I've recently been turned on to Lazpod - podcast series by Damien Lazarus (house/techno DJ, producer and record label owner), there are almost 40 episodes, lovely mix of music with a very small amount of chat, great to work to and infinitely better than 6 music but with a tangentially similar musical aesthetic. Recommend it: https://soundcloud.com/search?q=lazpod

+1 on Tempest

I don't hate Sleaford Mods/Tempest/Idles.
I'm just not that generation anymore. -

Tempest is a shit, forced act

*Kae Tempest.
The two or three times I have met them at festivals and in the pub in New Cross they have seemed nice enough. They have recorded at my friend's studio too and he says she seemed ok.
I suppose its possible to hate somebody's public persona and not the person.
I struggle with pronouns. Still get it wrong with a transgender friend after over two years since they transitioned.

I did not realise Kae was non binary.
Ok, they are shit.
In defence of 6 Music, Iggy on a Friday is one of my favourite things.

Deliveries:
"our delivery crew are John and Herman, they are currently on delivery number 18 and your order is number 19
Your planned time window is between 08:45 and 10:45 and we currently estimate* we will be with you between 09:59 and 10:29"
Called at 9:44 to say they will be half an hour, still no sign of them at 1108.Did get a generic text message saying they are running late.
No shit. -

It's just a random number generator to placate people.
DHL delivery yesterday said it would be between 14:38 and 15:38. Currently on job 25 and I was job 36. It was 1.30pm and I wondered if I had time to nip out to the shops (20 minutes in total) but though better of it.
He turned up a few minutes later.
Checking the website 15 minutes after he'd gone he was still a bunch of jobs short of mine and it was still telling me he was coming between 14:38 and 15:38.
At 15:38, some 2 hours after he delivered the parcel, I get a text from DHL saying:
"
Your DHL Parcel UK driver is delayed in getting to you, but we do expect to be with you later today.

Cheers. House/techno isn't particularly my thing but I'll give it a try.

the chocolate covers where the writing is on a nude digestive
Does it?! I thought you see the writing so the chocolate is on the cross-hatch side

Sounds like a scientific study is in order.
Go and buy all the chocolate digestives you can find, multiple brands, share with the control group (happy to volunteer) and reconvene in a week to discuss our findings? -

Mine neither, but the range of stuff he plays is very broad and just a lovely background/working soundtrack.

I quite like her but the way MAH waxes lyrical about every song she plays grates at times. She plays decent enough stuff compared to most daytime radio though.
I'd say the Giles Peterson show is one of the best things on radio. Quite like Criag Charles too.

@jakemcree I've mostly been listening to Worldwide FM while working. Gilles Peterson is on there: https://worldwidefm.net/?s=Gilles
No ads, phone-ins, or any of that.Edit: Looks like he co-owns or co-manages it.

Discovered someone who does 5 hour psychedelic space rock playlists on youtube, for me it's the perfect background music for working

Strongly recommend wizard disco as a working soundtrack when you need that goblin energy....

Is it dangerous to ask for a link?

I think it’s the lemon party website that hosts it.

Otherwise blue waffle fm
