Any local distributors?
@thecycleclinic has built wheels with them, so he should be able to get you some rims. Bike24 don't have the 32H disc rims at the moment, but there's no reason why you couldn't use the standard version with disc hubs, unless you want to wait for aesthetic reasons.

rosebike have the 32h disc version:
https://www.rosebikes.com/article/dt-swiss-r-460-db-disc-road-bike-rim/aid:863129Are the r460 disc version 22mm or 23mm wide? Any one care to measure? Gets listed as both different places

My none-disc versions are 23mm.

Thanks I think that is the confusion, disc version 22mm non disc 23mm:
I demand wide(r) disc rims!... (probably splitting hairs)

ID is the same, so looks like the 23 mm wide Caliper version is just an extra mm of metal for the brake track

What are the better ones?
Why better? Lighter? More aeroz? I'd go deep on the rear (ooh nurse) but not on the front - too much of a ball ache to hang onto if it's windy.

Ta. I'll mention them to Scherrit. He likes DT Swiss.
I have no opinion on rims until I've destroyed a set.

What are the better ones?
For your purposes, it would probably be worth looking at the benefit of things like DT RR511 or Kinlin XR31t

Pacenti sl25 are 24.5 ED and 'tubeless friendly'

I demand wide(r) disc rims!
There are plenty available, just shop in the 29er aisle.

...with a aero'ish profile (+ 24 holes).
I'll just end up buying the r460 because nothing beats the price. Thanks for the suggestions

I don't want the cheapest, I want the fattest :)

Fat is like a hundred pounds more. What is that like ten pizzas? Three crates of Rothaus? For a rim that will never be breaked on.

Run them with Schwalbe tubeless if you like.

I have no opinion on rims until I've destroyed a set.
With disc you'll sadly never have an opinion on Ardennes Plus then.
My rear wheel didn't make it just after it was built out of the way when I saw a right turning car coming from the opposite direction and it could be trued.

I've ordered a set of these http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/pave-28-ultra-11speed-wheelset-2024.htm this morning, which are a rear Novatec hub to what looks like a Kinlin XC279.
However, I'm starting to think that these might be a better option: http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/arc22-ultrawide-rim.htm
Those are Kinlin 22t rims, right?
I've been recommended the 22t rims by someone else, but worry they might be a bit flexy in 24/20 lasers. Any advice? (I'm 73ish kg)

More SL23 headache. Is anyone intimate with the differences between the 2014 and 2015 versions? For one thing, I can't find any reliable ERD info on the 2015 650b rim, is it 1mm more like the 700c? For another, I've read that the brake track on the 2015 is ridiculously narrow, like 7.5mm. If that's true, I'm pretty sure my canti pads will be rubbing off a lot of extra rim anodising... Should I just go with the 2014, or are the tyre-fitting issues really that bad?

Don't want factory built wheels as the front needs a dynamo added. Plus I want 32h spoke count at least for my fat arse and luggage carrying.
-
• #4574
The new ones are wider aren't they? Have a look in the tubeless wheel thread - someone mentioned having trouble fitting tyres to the older version I think.

Slightly wider internal width, slightly thicker spoke bed, redesigned bead hook or something
OK. Only seem available in US though. Any local distributors?
