If the colour is the only thing putting you off, i'd recommend borrowing someones and taking it for a test ride. you won't notice the colour while you're riding it!
Oh, also, yeah you could follow teenslain's advice and get the frame powdercoated the colour of your choice for £50 at a later date if you really don't like the grey! :)

I assure you the Giant bowery I park my bike next to every day has the spider outside the chainring, as does the one I rode, as does the one In a shop window I pass every day.
honest.

The Giant is shit. It rode like a bmx compared to the fuji. By which I mean slow, low, heavy. Also the paint was no-kidding the worst finish I've ever seen from a factory. I've done better jobs in the back garden with plasticoat, pissed.
The fuji is great fun to ride and you know what goes with grey???
Pink!!!

Depends who they're flying with. Some airlines charge you for bikes. Hence the advantage of S&S couplers... then it's just an extra suitcase.

I very much would go for the Fuji If i can find a 2007 model 54" at around the £320 mark.
I've got a 2007 54cm Fuji Track. Not really thinking of selling it but for £320 might consder it.

Anyone know where the would have the 2008 model fuji track in stock for me to go have a look at/ride on in London. I fancy getting one just got a bonus from work and it seems good value for money.
-
• #398
Is it not similar in geometry to a 2007. Just find someone on here who has one and ask to ride it.
-
• #399
good point i assume it would be. Ok so who has a bike they want to let me try? :)

Have been googling but drawn a blank so far (2008 model). Does anyone know off the top of their head? Cheers.
oh well, buy a bowery.
no, on careful reflection, a london langster is the perfect bicycle for you, it's not grey, it's lovely and bright, anodized rims, it has a shiny 42t chainring on the front, it slopes neatly betwixt seat tube and stem and there really aren't that many on the road. and it's very good value.
