Andy- all true, but still baffling in a way because FSA specify a 108mm axle with the cranks to give a correct chainline.
I'm going to have to use a road triple BB to get the right chainline on a track crankset...I thought mine was 108. Hmm.. anyway.. it works. Now yours probably will.
Mission success! :) -

Stronglight used to recommend the wrong length BB for their ST-1000 cranks. It happens.

but the question remains why does this crankset not deliver a decent chainline?
Because, with no offence intended, the fuji track pro is still only an entry level bike, and they have to cut cost some place. So they use a crank and BB that is avalible to them at a good price.
A whole bunch of the oldschool trackies just used whatever with whatever. Every* old track bike I have ever bought had the 'wrong' BB for the cranks. I have bough bikes with miche chaninset (should take 107mm), with BB's of 102mm, 111mm and 115mm, but not 107mm and the old dudes never cared, rode them for years, won races etc etc.

out of curiosity, is your left crank arm farther from the left chainstay, than the right crank arm is from the right stay (while in rotation)?

Yes

Hey,
I have to buy a new lockring, coz my old one's broken til death! threads screwed up etc.
The wheel is the standard Fuji one with those Formula hubs. I replaced the cog for a Surly 18T. Now I have to decide if I get a DuraAce Lockring or a Surly Lockring.
Which one would work better or is more durable?

Just for you Dammit, I measured the FSA platinum bb jobbie here on the Vigorellis... 108mm.

Pulled the bottom bracket whilst barbecueing (sp?) and it is a 108- a cheap one at that.
Respaced it with a 2mm spacer I had left over from servicing my Rush.Chainline is now happy and my bike no longer sounds like a diesel landrover (what you would call an SUV Jersey).
I'll order a decent 113mm bottom bracket and replace the bodge asap, but now I am going to sleep satisfied that I have- with considerable help from my friends, solved the problem.
Night all.

Were there sausages? I like chops on a barbie too. ooh, and potato salad... always good.

@ dammit nice work, you've made us all jealous with your new stealth rotations. so much so i've dug out some old spacers to fix my inadequacies... any chance of coming round tomorrow to borrow your hex keys?
in regards to the OP i've a Surly chain tugg i don't use if your interested? Weights a ton & doesn't really open beers effectively but gimmicks aside it does tugg a good chain.

Why not take it back to Edwardes and tell them to sort it da fuck out?
They undoubtedly will, and at no expense or further aggravation to your good self.
Cheers for the thread though, dude!
