• Sorry if pearost but this says Lance may be willing to testify against Fat Pat. Which would be nice. But he is still a terrible cunt of the highest order.

  • everyday was a whining road(ie)

All she wanted to do was have some fun. she was sick and tired of all the detours lance took. Sheryl said the real reason why Lance was with her was that he could "lean on me" however it wasn't to be and a change would do you good as what Lance said to her. It's pretty hard to make a stand these days but I can't think Sheryl is the one to blame for not taking one. You can continue to call Lance names, if it makes you happy.

  • Lance's Monday "To do" list

    1. Pick up dry cleaning
    2. Collect kids from school
    3. Burn it all down, fucking all of it.
  • The ideal scenario would be for Armstrong to confess, testify against all those who allowed him to dope and supported his doping and by so doing show himself not only to be a cheat and a liar but a nasty hypocrite who is happy to abandon the omerta that allowed him survive, the moment it suits him. He would then, eventually be allowed into triathlons but no one would sponsor him and other athletes threaten to boycott events if he appears. That would be nice but it won't happen.

  • Armstrong is merely another innocent victim... And here I was thinking that he was a lying doped up cheating bastard.

  • Show's how much you know, the poor lamb had no choice after those nasty Belgians/French/Spanish/Italians all started cheating him. That's right they were cheating him first, I'm shedding a tear just thinking about it.

  • That dirty belgian Johann corrupted all those nice clean cut American boys. It's his fault Lance lost his way. But what can you expect, growing up without a Dad like that? Forced to provide for your dear Ma, world's expectations on your shoulders... I'm sure he really didn't mean to do it. Give the guy a break, I mean, he's returned all his prize and endorsement money, apologised sincerely to each and every person he was a bit mean to, and helped the authorities root out the bad apples that put pressure on him to cheat, as well as donated his remaining testicle to cancer research. What more do you want from him?

  • He's going to go in on USA Cycling; there were lawsuits from at least two other junior riders that were in his training group in early 90's that Chris Carmichael doped without their knowledge with testosterone, cortisone etc. and had terrible reactions. USAC settled in 2006 and Carmichael paid out in 2001.

There was an Olympics-driven doping program in US cycling way before the TDF reared it's head so I think he'll deliver a bit of a history lesson before getting to his own story.

  • happy to abandon the omerta that allowed him survive, the moment it suits him.

This is bollocks. Whatever the reason, breaking omerta can only help the sport.

  • It was reported overnight that he will not be talking about any riders, only team managers and "enablers".

team managers and "enablers" that continue to screw the sport are more worthwhile targets than retired / retiring riders.

  • ^ this

  • Initially I didn't want to watch it... Now I can't wait!

  • I'd still be surprised if he dobbs in Fat Pat and Hein.

    Surprised but delighted.

Of course it will help the sport and is therefoire a good thing but it is still an example of the outrageous hypoocracy of Armstrong that he vilified others for breaching the omerta but as soon as it suits him he is willing and ready to do the same.

  • UCI are encouraging Lance to speak to the independent commission and no comment on the interview until they have errr... seen the interview.

  • Hi Lance,

I’m sure you subscribe to this important forum, and that this is your most read thread, even though it may no longer be your favourite.

I just wanted to offer a little advice for your forthcoming TV appearance.

It’s quite clear that, whatever the truth of the matter, there are now very few people who believe in your innocence on the doping question. Therefore in order to gain the redemption in the eyes of the public which you desire, some new and bold strategy is required: there is no longer any mileage in that mantra about ‘never failing a test’.

My suggestion is that you should make a full but brief confession, claim a ‘road to Damascus experience (many people will love the religious note), and then go on to denounce some one else, to move the focus of blame away from yourself. ‘It was them – they made me do it against my will – I acted under duress’.

The most obvious candidates are the leaders of the UCI, but there may well be others.

Let me offer you my services as a PR consultant. I’m sure my rates would undercut your present advisers, who, after all, are the ones who allowed you to get into this mess.

     Just send me a p.m.

So when are you going to break the omerta that covers up the hedonism and debauchery of the reinsurance business? The rumours that leak out make my toes curl.

  • I'd love it if he just creases up and says, Yeah, I doped... I mean, look at the wife I had, the money, the friends... wouldn't you? And just came clean, stunned the world. Such honesty could be the biggest thing to ever hit sport, all sports.

    Are you crying yet?

    The Nuremberg Defense? Hah!

You can see in his eyes that Armstrong liked the dope from the very beginning.

  • Oprah saying "he did not come clean in manner I expected"

  • she's going to say that though innit-if everyone already knows then nobody will watch her poxy webcast. she'll be saying he's done a jody foster by tomorrow and that he's been fighting back his true feelings for Floyd from the outset...
