Heavy (oversize straight gauge tubing!). Good for tricks (spinable front wheel once you've switched tyres i believe). Decent cranks, parts & finish. Somerset company! Heavy. Not as cheap as it used to be. Heavy.
I'd buy a Fuji Track because in comparison it feels like... well it feels like an old track bike!
On a Fuji I'd change the saddle/cranks/tyres... and you'd still have change from the cost of a Plug. -

I am about 5.6'' / 7 small for me?
I am testing them tomorrow so can find out then myself. I just need to post 5 times ! x -

Probably. I'm 6ft and the medium is borderline small for me.

Thinking of getting a charge plug myself, I'm 6ft and have 33" inside leg so from what I can tell a large would be right for me although I do want to have a bit of spare stand over height because I know how likely I am to attempt some tricks and most likely fall off. I'm also gonna add a short reach BMX stem to give it a more upright riding position which I believe should help with tricks?... also I've noticed a few people mention that you need to change tyres if you want to do barspins, what's with that?

the standard plug comes with 28c tires which are completely shithouse...
i've got a front brake on mine so have never tried to barspin, but i would recommend that if you do go down the plug route to jettison the puncture-liable tires ASA-blood-P

on the charge site they have some demo bikes on sale, have a plug racer but in the grinder green colour, kinda special edition
-
• #284
oh, and they only 250 quid for bike!
bargain
-
• #285
I never had any problems with the tyres on my old plug, can't barspin with them on though.
For £250 they are a bargain, well worth it.

• #286
where are the demo bikes? i cant find them on the site
-
• #288
If I had a spare £250 banging about, I'd have one. Good to use as a beater.

Don't want to get ahead of myself but I think I've secured myself one of these plugs and only £10 extra for mainland UK delivery! First fixed bike here I come!!!

to anyone thinking of buying a normal plug, i.e not the racer or freestyler be warned that you cant put 23c tyres on the rims as they are too wide

Hey,
I'm one of those short people (about 5,5ft - 170cm) and I would really like to purchase Charge Plug Grinder bike. I checked Small size at Evans last year but it is slightly too big so it might be a bit risky in some situations. ;)
So now I'm looking for XS version but it is only listed at Charge website. I checked all online shops and I have never seen an actual XS version available at any shop. I emailed Charge but there was no answer from them since they do not sell their bikes.Maybe anyone here could give me some advice?
Thanks!
