carbon and 259gr? that's not great

It is for a Brooks.

I think they have always gone with comfort and longevity rather than speed.

And vegans will spend lots for a saddle.
I'd love to try a C15 (as I have a B15 Ti). The C13 looks very interesting, but v spendy for what it is.

I need some brooks expertise. Has anybody ever seen a B17 like that? What's unusal is that it has copper rivets and more specifically, it has 7 rivets in the back with one in the middle instead of the brooks shield. Looks more like a professional to me tbh. But the imprint on the side clearly says b17. Couldn't find another one like it in the interwebz so I'd appreciate your thoughts on it!

Picked up a Brooks ladies sprung saddle at a jumble today for £5.
Trouble is it's a double rail model (possibly a Flyer S?) and I want to use it with a modern, single rail clamp seatpost.
If I just put one set of rails in the clamp, am I gonna die?

This needs recovering. It was given to me free. Think it’s titanium? Who wants it? Just need to pay for postage as I’m not in London. Cheers.

Tried the saddle, didn't like it, chucked it on ebay and swithering between a B17 or a c17 now.

Likely wouldn't've worked with the catsuit anyway.

Eh?NM got it.Anyone got an opinion on c17 v b17?
I was swaying toward the Cambium but the nose area worries me. I'm seeing a lot that have worn badly in that area or even broken.
I was thinking I'd pick up a used one to check it works for me and maybe invest in a new one down the line but even a heavily used c17 is like £50+ and if it goes at the nose, that'd be money down the drain.
Also kinda concerned that they have now brought out the 'All Weather' version, it'd be going on my mtb so would get a bit wet/muddy. I reckon a leather Brooks could handle that so long as I treat it right but I'd be worried a non 'All Weather' Cambium might soak up a lot of water and that might accelerate wear? I got a saddle I've been looking for for years recently (cowprint SDG Bel Air) and ditched it after the first ride as it soaked up water like a sponge and sitting on it was horrible.

Anyone got any experience with or opinion on the leather Selle Anatomica X saddles with the cut out?

Yeh - bought one for my GF. She loves it. I've ridden with it - loved it. They look mad, but cool - and are very very comfy

Look at this bollocks! Just out of warranty too, only two years old. I mean I like a cream cake but I'm well within weight limits for the C17. Want another one but grudgingly, if this is what happens.

How? Just the plastic edging split?
-
• #299
Rubber's split (underneath where I couldn't see it) then the tension must have done the rest. Brooks don't sell replacement parts either, which is a bit of an oversight IMO for a company that claims to sell saddles for life*
- I know nothing's for life but it would be nice to be able to service saddles yourself rather than buy a whole new one
