3rdworldsuitcase man how can you compare riding track bike on the streets of SF to skating.there is no comparison.
MAshsf for me is riding gnarly hills and steez.the main focus is steez.Watching it you can see the mix of older footage and the newer stuff.aka filler.if i wanted to watch tricks n sheeeeit i watch a BMX flick or if worse comes to worse bootleg sessions.style wise i think bootleg is no where near mash.hell i can watch jonvontae do a meag ass wheelie for hours and not get bored but thats me.
all im sayin is its kool to have these resources to motivate and get the ol brain juices going.now stop watching tv and get out on yah bike.peace..

I had some steez for breakfast this morning. I'll be going back to my regular bowl of muesli from now on though. I'm too old to change.

I've just brought the MASH SF dvd book recently and did enjoyed it, didn't want to start a new topic on it when on exist anyway;
£24 for a brunch of blokes bombing about in SF for hours of which I can do with a couple mates in London for hours, it a bit much to be honest, first 20 minutes it's fine, but it got bloody tedious afterware.
thought I can understand the whole point of the video and the book is well nice, so not all of the £24 is wasted, just the video a bit dull of which I could've go out for a ride with a couple mates instead and have more fun for nowt.

yeah I was thinking that, I saw the MASH trailer, look promising, turn out the trailer have all the best part of the viddy.
either way I don't regret getting the DVD book thought, a video simply about mucking about with mates, something we all can related to in the LFGSS group.

fo-sho-mo-fo! why are Mash seen as so good anyhow? why do they get Cinelli custom bikes? (shrugs shoulders)
-
• #122
I have some idea, but dunno really, but either way they're making money, they're showing people the world of fixed wheel cycling, showing us it's all about mucking about with mate, etc.
there's millions of answer to that, but I don't know which is the definite one, but what I can says that it's a good thing, it got Cinelli making a track bike for MASH, I mean it's Cinelli we're talking about, not Apollo from Halford.

Hyped up balls they'll be sponsored by NIKE this time next year...maybe we can have a word with Apollo-go to start somewhere...

at least in skate videos you get lots of variety in comparison to something like MASH still prefer skating with mates skate videos are only useful for days when it's bad weather

Not meaning to sound funny but what exectly did you expect? It's a DVD about couriers in SF, did you want Sylvester Stallone and Uma Thurman doing cartwheels on top of skyscrapers dodging molotov cocktails?!
I found the main DVD OK the first 2/3 times but yes it is a bit boring now but I think there's some decent enough camera work and it's not just about fellas on bikes, SF is a beautiful city and some of the scenery is great
Now the outtakes section is much better imo as it loses all the music and you can hear them obviously discussing things as well as the 'sounds of the city'
The Gabe Morford & Mike Martin sections are also well worth watching - both ace cyclists
Steez?
Ohhh
Steez

Style
That seems to be the worst thing, more about the style (or steez) than actually doing the tricks.
