  • it's a knog bag with laptop sleeve. £49.99 on ebay. Wondering if anybody had experience using one, and whether, for that price, a bag can be comfortable

  • I bought one for my brother a similar (but not the same Knog) about a year ago, very pretty but utterly useless. Didn't sit right, lots of fiddly pockets and the main pocket is difficult to get into when you swing it round rather than take the bag off, if you know what I mean. It also got very grubby very quickly. A couple of months later I did it right and bought him a Timbuk2, not perfect, but for the money pretty near and a whole lot better than the Knog and IMHO the crumpler equivalent. Sorry to put a dampner on this, coz the Knogs do look very pretty, but I'd avoid and at £50.00 it may not be expensive, but it's hardly bargain of the year. For what it's worth, for cheap I'd recommend a post office bag, for sensibly priced a Timbuk2 and if you just want to do it right talk to Scott not Scot about an Archie Grobag or look at a Bagaboo. Just to make clear my preferences/bias, I currently use a Pac Design O/S deluxe and have an Archie Grobag on order.

  • thanks, that's exactly the sort of review that's useful. Won't be getting it. Especially when for half the price you can get one of these (choice of 4 colours) which were mentioned further up this thread

    postie...sort of

I've never seen my postman :(

  • this might help you

  • Anyone use those Ortileb messenger bags? If so, any good?

  • The massive back pack ones? Aren't they meant to get as near to 100% waterproof for years as you can get? And they're bloody huge.

  • I worked with an X Large Ortlieb Express Courier bag for my last two years....it was the best courier bag I ever had, but a bit sweaty on the back in Summer and the strap system wasn't too comfy.....however it comes with tons of webbing and rings in each corner so you can set it up how you want....100% waterproof, and super tough!

  • Hi,

My First post! i am very new to the site but really like it! very informative.

Any how, i am looking for a new Messenger bag and wondered if anyone had any recommendations? Anybody making them here?

    Any help would be cool!

  • dude go to this thread have a look and put yourself on the waiting list,
    http://www.londonfgss.com/thread1667.html
Scott's bags are amazing, just gott one, the wait was long, but the joy unbound when the bag finally arrived and strapped to my back. Just ridden to southend with it, and not an ache on the back/shoulder region. Worth every penny.
If you can't wait, some people have love for bugaboo's, pac's, chrome's, seagulls, and a couple of others, do a quick search using keywords, of some of the above and you'll get links to websites and allsorts.

  • Thanks Cornelius!

    will take a gander.

  • +1 for Scott's bags - got mine a while ago now...it just keeps getting better....Tardis-like and sooo comfortable!
