The next one that is booked is the 14th Jan. We might well fit another in between now and then.

It won't have much affect on your standing if you can't make one of the races. We are currently taking the top three results for each rider.

i can't make the 14th of jan - on a plane to Aus. please have another one before that! i want to improve on my constant "almost but not quite" status.

i gave up free booze at a client xmas party for the 1k round. i felt like crap afterwards, but my legs weren't as sore today, strangely. usually after a few 500m races my hip flexors and adductors are fucked for days, but this time not so bad. that said, i think racing double the distance changes the character of the racing. it's more of a race, rather than a time trial, and you have to conserve energy through the rounds (if possible). it's more about winning the heat and less about times. not sure if i like this or not.

i also think it actually spreads the field more. there were some cracking races this round, but there were some crackers last time as well, and i think more chances for upsets over the shorter distance. i think 5 rounds of 1k for the finalists is fucking rough. maybe i need to HTFU but i was totally axed by my quarter final. no idea how the four blokes who did two extra rounds managed it. maybe i should stop drinking at races.

sorry for people i missed photos of, but i was there to race and happened to have my camera there. there were big chunks missing (usually after i'd been racing when i couldn't see straight).
