Film4 has been playing through the Godfather trilogy. No.3 is on tonight at 9.
I'd forgotten just how excellent they are. -

Probably skip 3, then.

But it's the one I've not seen.
Dilemma, mostly because now I can't fulfill my lifetime goal of sincerely being that girl who sings "I like old movies" in eHarmony ads. -

Watched 'Goodbye Lenin' last night - Loved the german nostalgia and seeming longing for its Soviet past.
Felt like your stumbling on a dirty little cultural secret.
The 'comedy' aspects of the film are probably only appreciated by germans - but still very watchable
really enjoyed 'Goodbye Lenin' good film

^ If I won the lottery, I would have a travelling cinema and show life-changing/affirming films in off-the-beaten-track locations.
That and have surgery to enable me to breathe underwater.

Saw Trance last night, another average at best danny boyle film(Trainspotting and 28 days later are classics)
So ropey camera angles, story could have be told better imo as it just jumped about too much and it was over hyped(But then everything is these days i suppose)
2.5 out of 5.

just finished watching Dark Night Rises. Long, boring and a waste of time. To think I could have been watching Masterchef and aimlessly surfing the internet instead sigh

This is seriously missing Two Lane Blacktop.

Silver Linings Playbook was wonderful. Found myself laughing out loud (or LOL for short) on many occasions. De Niro is class. He's a pretty good actor actually. I predict big things for his career.

Going to try and see The Spirit of '45 and The Gospel According to St Matthew this weekend if I can, aside from that nothing really takes my fancy.

You'd have to win the lottery to afford to go to that. £22 for a film screening? You've got to be joking.

Did Jimmy Saville direct this movie or something?

Ed, The Hunt was really well done, but not fun viewing.
I left about 45 mins in, as much as it looked lovely I couldnt sit thought it any longer. Its jumping about, pretty much no dialogue and no story killed me.
