I have never seen it on a big screen either will check out the dates. To get this to 4K print is quite impressive.

Why would anyone watch a film with Salma Hayek in and actually expect any acting?
You mean the actor that won an Oscar for Frida?

I saw 'The Watch' over the weekend as well - I thought it was ok, not amazing but not as bad as some previous comments made it seem.

That was just a blip in a lifetime of terrible performances.

Cineworld had it for one day only last Tuesday, I would have said, but i only just noticed in time to sprint to the cinema. Really spectacular. Lawrence is a lot less ambiguous and far more egocentric than he is in the book, but an amazing film. 5 hours well spent.
pro tip: it begins with several minutes of blank screen and music. The projector is not broken...

I'm always intrigued about the acting ability of A-list film stars. Which are thought to be good by everyone across the board (including 'proper' stage actors) and which are all about charisma, and which are just crap?

Had a bit of a film fest this past week.
Beasts of the southern wild - Good, though not as amazing as many critics have suggested. The lead girl who is about 6 is a revelation!
Holy Motors - Perfect. Maybe be my favourite film of all time!
The Master- One of the most beautiful films I have ever seen with two awesome leads. However it did drag at points.
Wild Bill - Fun, definitely worth a watch.
Take Shelter - Superb.
The Future - I really want to like Miranda July, but sometimes her quirkiness is a bit too much. Not terrible but not as moving as i hoped.
Win Win - Does Paul Giamatti ever do anything bad...Nope.
Rust & Bone - Very powerful and worth watching but somehow feels like a poor mans Iñárritu.
