I really liked 50/50 too. Saw 'The Thing' prequel, actually was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Mary Elizabeth Winstead as a scientist was still pretty hot.
Continuing on an Arnie theme -the other night I watched 'Total Recall', had forgotten how good it was. Wondering how the re-make is going to be later on this year.
Been meaning to watch 50/50, thank for reminding, let see if it's out on DVD yet.
edit - 26th of March, a little over a month to go.
There'll be a remake of Total Recall? damn, the original were a proper classic.

50/50 is VERY good.
Crying shame that there's going to be a remake of "Total Recall". Proof that Hollywood can't leave things well alone.

Hmm.

Speaking of Total Recall - I watched the original Conan The Barbarian last night. The theme tune is basically the same as Total Recall, clearly Total Recall copied. But perhaps same composer or something.
The remake has quite an impressive cast. Total Recall 2012

When I first heard about the remake, and someone said "yeah, it's got Colin Farrell in it", for some reason I thought "Why the fuck is Colin Firth doing a remake of an Arnie film?!". I blame The Kings Speech for being the big thing at the time.

I bought my dad a new TV for his birthday, (LED, 1080p, 100Hz natch) and we sat down and watched Jurassic Park in full HD, still great 20 years later.

I just saw a DVD of Abduction please for the love of Jesus avoid this 'film' at all costs. It's a sort of bastard junior Jason Bourne without a fraction of the action and any of the plot twists or surprises. I've no idea why the big Hollywood production companies went ahead with this but unfortunately they did.
If you want to choke on your own cock and probably lose a few chunks then watch Abduction - junior Jason Bourne for retards.
Planet of the Apes is a classic for sure, and remains better than the remake. There is talk of remaking this again, of the back of 'Rise' being so successful.
There seems to be a batch of horror films coming out at the moment. The ones I'm thinking off all have an 'Exorcism' theme.
