I have never seen Top Gun.

I've seen it 16 times. at least.
It was the only VHS tape we had at home when I was a kid, so every time we rented a VHS player I watched it a good few times just to get as much out of the VHS player as possible

You're not missing much - very homosexual-erotic. "You can be my wingman anytime" etc etc

It's basically a feature length Gillette advert

That's what I love about it.
Makes Brokeback Mountain look hetro.

Very very stylish, incredible photography and sound.
true, but sort of ruined by plot holes, and some of the violence received giggles from the audience, which i don't think was the idea.

^ same when i saw it. think it was the sudden contrast + the absurdity of it that made it though. The directors previous films has similar moments, utterly violent but with a twist of dark humour.
I really liked it

Do C4 have a quota they need to fill as to the number of times they broadcast Predator every year?
thats because Lucas writes letters and emails every day requesting it .

I'd like to see this.
Controversially it stars Chris Langham (The Thick of It/Help!/nonce), but he is undoubtedly an incredible talent and I believe everyone should be given a second chance.

And you're surprised?! Shite Thebeef is an terrible actor.
I'm not surprised, i thought it might be something that i could at least have on in the background, but it was appalling truly. I'm shocked and disappointed that buzz aldrin agreed to be in it.

just got back from watching Drive. It was absolutely awesome. Very very stylish, incredible photography and sound. Loved every minute.
My mate Gary did a nice blog post referencing Drives 80's influences music/typography etc. http://garywarnett.wordpress.com/2011/09/25/neon-noirs-drive-an-80s-aesthetic/

It's not a remake of The Driver with Ryan O'Neil, is it?

+1 - I have been looping the soundtrack since friday!
You have clearly seen some awful films if this is the case.
At which he didn't win anything. Again. So he tried to drown his sorrows in young man. It must make him physically sick when he thinks that two of his ex's have won Academy Awards! The only way that wank pot will get an award will be when he's six feet under - or whatever it is the alien worshippers do with corpses.
