Saw 'Red State' last night, very good acting throughout and a surprising ending. If you are a Kevin Smith fan you'll appreciate its maturity. If you aren't a Kevin Smith fan, then give this a go since it is not like anything he has done before.

I'd like to see this.
Controversially it stars Chris Langham (The Thick of It/Help!/nonce), but he is undoubtedly an incredible talent and I believe everyone should be given a second chance.
Trailer looks good.
Not a nonce according to the court case. Is a nonce according to tabloid media. Make your own mind up.

I agree to some extent - but without giving away too much the incident ending was the surprise I was referring, the actual movie ending was a little disappointing but I can't think what else they could have done.

I'm watching a film called 'Kanehsatake 270 Years of Resistance'
here's the blurb:On a July day in 1990, a confrontation propelled Native issues in Kanehsatake and the village of Oka, Quebec, into the international spotlight. Director Alanis Obomsawin spent 78 nerve-wracking days and nights filming the armed stand-off between the Mohawks, the Quebec police and the Canadian army. This powerful documentary takes you right into the action of an age-old Aboriginal struggle. The result is a portrait of the people behind the barricades.
Basically the local council decided that they should built a new golf course and housing development on the Mohawks land (the gold course would be right over their burial ground) with out their permission. As the Mohawks reist the situation escalates.
You can watch it for free here:

I would recommend you do. -

Tinker Tailor Soldier Etc...
Ace, tense, gripping, stylish without being clinical (a la A Single Man).
9/10

'Warrior' got the majority vote last night (I wanted to see Tinker). Pretty good all round, has the same emotional level as the Rocky movies, can't fault it really - does what it says on the label. So much so I did a kip-up getting out of bed this morning, and have been doing Jonesy' (Police Academy for the younger readers.) karate noises most of the morning.
