  • Donnie is killed by the jet engine that crashes into his house at the beginning of the film.

  • John Doe is the killer, played by Kevin Spacey.

  • missmouse was prancer's alias all along

  • I've never seen Big Fish. Should I bother?

  • Watched Life Aquatic again last night. I never, ever tire of that film. Just magic.

Plus one, an excellent film. My favourite by Wes for sure.

  • Tenderloin: Looking thro IMDb's recommendations, I prefer The Fall and Neil Gaiman's MirrorMask.

The Barbarian Invasions (referenced by Ebert) has a similar theme to Big Fish, the father spinning yarns of his youth, but is better.

  • BIg Fish - I thought it was excellent, made me a bit tearful.....

Just went to see A Lonely place to Die - very violent but some amazing people falling down/off mountains scenes - and Melissa George in hiking tights

  • was it comedy ^^^^ value though?

journey to centre of earth on in background, no hopes for it.

beautiful lies, hmm, made a change I guess.

  • 'A lonely place to die' looks a bit shit in the trailer. Story just seems to be 4 people climb up a cliff, find a girl in a badly hidden box then get hunted by some guy.

  • prolly very fair assessment^^^^
    liking this 'journey ....'right now,
icelandic secenery and lovely girl lead

  • Can I get some Horror recommendations please? I can't stand them but I've never seen my friend flinch, she is like a rock. Help me scare her.

  • george a romero this week- tuesday 1035itv1 -'land of the dead' 2005 zombie film

  • ...your pic there should be a good place to start.

  • ha!

  • The Thing is child's play

  • seriously?

    shits me right up.

  • Yeah me too :(

  • MacReady: Machete (2010) was so bad, it made me flinch. How about Bunuel & Dali's Un Chien Andalou?

  • Another horror: The Human Centipede. I haven't seen it, but it's been described to me as pretty sick.

I watched Machete last night, it was great! Had me chuckling the whole way through

About 5 seconds in you can tell it's not a serious film

Human Centiepde just makes you cringe a bit and the ending leaves you feeling cold, but not scary as such

  • Very, very good call. The Pictureville cinema in Bradford showed this on the big screen a few years back. An incredible experience.

Machete started out as a trailer in the film Planet Terror, a fake trailer for a Grindhouse film that didn't exist. Rodriguez decided it needed doing.

    I quite liked it.

A really unsettling film is The Innocents. An early sixties movie and creepy as hell.
