Hahaha seems all pretty plausible until the final title screen. I think they just gave up. LOL

    That is probably true!

  • Thor is what I'ma watch tonight.

  • S'alright. I preferred the other Marvel ones though

  • If you're a film lover, and I am, give a bit to grass roots film. This lad is really good, and he's up against it. I don't download film because I love it enough to support the industry. I think film lovers should go one step further and invest a bit, if you can. If you can't, just pass on the link.

  • Dragged 'him indoors' to see Friends With Benefits tonight. Had Chainbreaker not said he thought it was one he'd like to see I probably wouldn't have got away with yet another romantic comedy. Or maybe that should be post-rom-com or even anti-rom-com. There seem to have been a lot of films recently which parody romance and indeed the formulaic rom com Hollywood churns out, whilst actually conforming in many ways to the exact structure and content of said genre.

Anyway, this one actually got a couple of belly laughs from Prancer. Both Justin (I so would) Timberlake and Mila Kunis were funny, very likeable characters. The banter was pretty good, the pace was snappy and I felt I got my money's worth of frivolity.

Prancer still said it was sh*t but I don't trust a man for whom the criteria of a good film are:
    fighting
    special effects
    superheros
    hot girls
    coming of age/sci-fi plot
    (not necessarily in that order)

  • His preferred method of fighting involved a long bicycle spoke with a handle, hopping back and forth in a prancely manner, while shouting "touche!" as he tapped the opponent's shoulder lightly.

Of course you're not going to fucking trust him!

  • Friends with what ever Its shit.

PS Happy feet didn't survive 10 mins.

I like this man's style. Make him watch No Strings Attached. It's pretty good. For a shit rom-com.

saw that one. he said something about pulling his finger nails out being less painful.

  • ^^^^^in the diary for 28th october week, dont worry

saw Meeks cutoff finally, strange, felt incomplete and not due to the ending, just lacking a bit.
going to see amelie part 3 tonight with gf, not sure if she realises I could happily gaze at Audrey Tatou for a month ;)

  • I recommend the Shaun Tan animation short The Lost Thing. He's a superb illustrator.

  • Has anyone mentioned vanishing point? The 1971 movie.

    Class

  • Vanishing Point? Great film to just watch and not question - wide open dusty vistas.....

Anyone seen Troll Hunter yet? Verdict? Worth a punt?

  • Is Troll Hunter going to be at the cinema, or just DVD? I know there are some Blu Ray copies floating about on the net, but they're from the states. I honestly want to see it. Proper beer and snacks movie!

  • Watched Life Aquatic again last night. I never, ever tire of that film. Just magic.

  • Yeah it's at the cinema

What about car chases...? got have a car chase (which is why i didn't like bambi- no car chase)

  • What about car chases...? got have a car chase (which is why i didn't like bambi- no car chase)
But Bambi does include the barbaric murder of a young mother and the subsequent sad plight of the orphan. Isn't that enough?

  • ^ was that a spoiler?

  • dtm

  • Bruce Willis was a ghost all along.
