    Lol

  • Syd James init

  • it bored me to death. it was just a collection of random elements.
it never gels into anything coherent. I thought there was just a lot of
filler before the actual story unfolds but it never did.
the fire daemon was cute, that's about it.

Its a ghibli, there is a set of morals always there.

  • Couldn't agree more. Bland entertainment at best

    Best bit was spotting a mk1 rover P6 2000.

Laputa, NausicaĆ”, Princess Mononoke, Sword of the Stranger on the other hand - absolute bliss to watch. One or 2 cheesy moments in both Laputa and NausicaĆ” but I wouldnt score them any less than a 9 (maybe 8.5 for SotS though)

Porco rosso is amazing even the fly bit in the air crafts are right.

  • just watched kill list.

proper mental. good though... I think.

    sorry, try again

  • 94 - Just said to myself its that one that wears the glasses but on further googling can only find one picture of Kenneth Williams in glasses?!

    1. ET
    2. Daniel Day-Lewis
    3. Convinced I knew the answer to this and am now outraged.
    4. Halle Berry - Who could forget?
  • Saw Ken Loach's Family Life yesterday. Genuinely harrowing.

  • In The Mood For Love.

    10/10

  • yes! perfect film

  • What next, Demolition man?

  • have Long Good Friday waiting to be watched, wonder if it'll be too violent for family company, dint realise it's an 18...
also the London Nobody Knows and Bicyclettes de Belsize, for more london filmage.

    London Nobody Knows is terrific.

Somehow haven't got round to Bicyclettes yet. Must dig it out again.

  • ...And then we see Charlize Theron doing pushups naked...

  • Finally watched Biutiful last night, good film and a very good performance from Bardem.Seems only just that he got nominated for an Oscar, I reckon if the film was in English he would have nailed it.

  • that was a good film... ceiling people were pretty creepy.

    sorry if repost,
might go and see the Ladykillers which is on our way, so enjoyable mrs Wilberforce.

    You are so right.

  • Really oddly want to see that troll watch film. In other news 4 lions killed me on Sunday. Great film and the best answer to terrorism I have seen to date. The Scene with Kevin eldon and the honey monster chewbacca debate was cinema gold. The loudest I have laughed for a long time. Great cast and so well written
