  • Videodrome is one of my favourite movies...

Mine too... In fact it was MY FAVOURITE MOVIE for years... Usurped by Lucy... #lel

  • Watched Nymphomaniac pt1 last night. Didn't realise it was a comedy. I was laughing almost as much as I did watching bad grandpa.

  • Is that the guy from The Raid?

  • Thought Spectre was super boring.

  • Yayan Ruhian. would probably win in a fight with a bear and a shark.

  • Spectre was very meh. But the cinema here has comfy seats - would have been unbearable otherwise.

Yesterday watched Bunraku, which was pretty cool, some parts are similar to Kung Fu Hustle. Also watched Buckaroo Banzai, which is hilarious for all the wrong reasons.

If you can understand German (or French) here's a link to an Arte documentary on Bahnhofskino, http://tinyurl.com/osky2b3 called Cinema Perverso, which goes through the old non-stop cinemas in Germany, and their rise and fall. Some cool old clips and stuff.

  • Cinderella is quite a disappointment.

  • The force drifts off.

  • surprised to see the neg rep The Lobster has been getting on here. loved it. film of the year contender for me

  • Really? It's a contender for the worst film I've ever started watching.

  • Wow, such polar opposite reviews. Intrigued.

  • The Martian. All the feels.

John Carter. Er. Mah. Gerd. Whut.

  • The trailer for Star Wars. Plenty of vwwwwwooowwwwwmmmmmmmmMMMMMMM bass and ssshhhhvvvvvv tchhh fighting. But who's that old fella?

  • John Carter, though. Wow.

  • But who's that old fella?

    Roy Batty

  • Roy Runner

  • What?

  • Wow, such polar opposite reviews. Intrigued.

    They're all a bit lobster-sided.

  • no wait, not him - I'm thinking of the bloke that was in Eastenders - Big Ron - Ronnie the Runner they called him.....when he wasn't in the Queen Vic.....

  • Ronnie Pickering?

  • Who?

  • wonnie pickerwin

  • Most memes will be forgotten about five days after they are last used, but I have a feeling that the Ronnie Pickering thing has already achieved the status of a popular TV comedy sketch and will be a staple for a long time (and not just on here).

  • Saw Interstellar in 70mm at the Prince Charles the other night... Great film but to be honest, the format didn't really improve anything. It might just be their old projector but the film definitely looked better at the soul-less Vue in Islington.

Last night I watched Beasts of No Nation. Its hard to say you "enjoyed" a film like that, as its so fucking horrific but it was well done.

Also watched Nymphomaniac Vol.II. I've found the secret with Von Trier films - they're all either comedies, elaborate trolls or both. Nymphomaniac was mostly fucking hilarious.
