True, but Blackfish did a decent amount of damage to SeaWorld itself.

Yeah, I found it a bit flat, all in all, and the pacing seemed really off
Forum ride to Cambridge?

"They catastrophically misunderstood the character of Blofeld".
Characters? In a James Bond film? I'll have what s/he's having.

Spoiler alert
Lucy was good for abit, highly functional cerebral cortex seems legit up to 20% then she became God and I'm done. -

I finally got around to watching Bitter Lake, pretty much does what it accuses Western Government of doing in simplifying the story, but some captivating footage nonetheless. Well worth a look.
-
• #12036
But it's not legit because the whole idea that we only use less than 20% of our brain capacity is a total myth
-
• #12037
I'm no neuroscientist but if the answer to how much of our brain capacity do we use is not ambiguous then any ideas to how much we actually use?
-
• #12038
All of it, at different times, when doing different things. Each part of the brain has a function but it doesn't always need to do something at all times so it looks like less than 100% is being used at one point.

apart from that empty spot they taught us about in Iron Man 3 right?

Cartel Land was a quite good. There is a lot to it, and multiple stories could have been told. I feel the filmmakers weren't sure which narrative they wanted to give, so they just put everything in. It makes the film a bit jarring, but still very much worth a watch. (And a quick google tells me that there's a whole other story still to be told/taking place in the aftermath).

Cowspiracy (documentary) on Sunday. I've posted a couple of thoughts about it in the Vegan Thread.

The Demon Seed - Some interesting ideas, but bejaysus, does it get silly in places...perhaps the book is better
Rabid - Early Cronenberg, and competent.

Wash your mouth out, early Cronenberg is as good as it gets...
I enjoyed Ant-Man, good fun...

Written by Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish! Surprised me when the credits rolled. Tight enjoyable rubbish.

The Wolfpack was pretty intriguing. I honestly thought it was fiction before going in. Still want convinced until about 30 minutes.

Antman was alright, also enjoyed superbob, American Ultra was fun once it got going but a bit weird.

Videodrome is one of my favourite movies...its too bad he moved away from bodyhorror but I guess he said what he had to say :)
Dead ringers is superb too.
Just saw Blackfish, hard hitting documentary more so because there is such little we can do about it
