Talking of footbeds; I have a pair of unused green Specialized BG footbeds in the packaging with all Instructions wedges etc. they have been trimmed to fit size 45 Sidis. These are the high arch variety.

Cheers for the link! Just ordered these: http://www.sidicafe.co.uk/sidi-sales-sales-sample-mtb-dragon-3-carbon-srs-vernice-white-blue-cream-size-42.html
Happy early birthday present to me! I'm a UK 7-7.5 I just hope they fit..
Whoa! Disco shoes! Very nice! I usually take a 6-ish in normal shoes but wear a 42 (!!) in Sidi's. I do have freakishly wide feet at the front though. Hope they fit!
In other foot news: went for a ride with the Spesh ++ footbeds yesterday and found my knees were aching way less than they do after recent rides.
Until I can afford a bike fit, they will really help. Cheers JB! (and everyone else bigging up the footbed)

I know... I'm crossing my fingers that the disco slippers fit. I have some Scott MTB shoes and they are a 41, we'll see.

They're very nice. But for real winter-shoe-porn, they need to be fitted with Therm-IC LiPo power packs and heated insoles:

Serious business those.

Got a local cobbler to replace the velcro on my sidis and he's done a really nice job. Kept having to make the ratchet extra tight because the velcro straps didn't stick. Almost like new again.

Good to know!
I'm always afraid of the velcro straps ripping off, like they did on my old pair of Shimano road shoes.

I need new road shoes, and have been told that for slim feet like mine, Sidis tend to give a nice snug fit.
To all the Sidi shoe owners:
How have you found yours? Lasted well, good fit, comfy etc?
Have been looking at Genius 5s purely because they're the most affordable. Are there any other good options for the slim of foot? I also heard the Specialised shoes with the twisty wire fitting things (rather than velcro straps) are good.

fit will be down to your own foot shape
they are better with orthotic insoles
i like them a lot and they tend to last a long time
do not do a dammit and try to have people fit your shoes via online diagnosis, go to a shop that has experieced staff who can give you advice on what fits best

how did you find what shoes fitted?
-
• #924
a shop that has experieced staff
10 minutes of training on how to shift the highest margin disco slippers does not experienced staff make. There's no substitute for trying shoes out though.

I agree, but someone I know worked at Condor for quite a few years and was actually trained in shoe fitting. He no longer works there, but it is an example of a shop that had experienced staff with knowledge.
Just been doing some reading - I think I might give the Superfeet black DMP ones a whirl before I go custom.
